I too received the "you're not getting one" email, despite having received the on screen confirmation. Everything that has been said on here so far about contract law is correct as far as I'm aware, and I have emailed a complaint on that basis.

There's strength in numbers. The more of us who complain, the more pressure it puts on them to sort things out.
