Fuming over accident

You can do this (report to HSE), but HSE won't do anything unless there is repeated complaints.
Surely it is better to raise with site management and get a resolution that way... That way something has been done. HSE will ask if you have raised it through the relevant channels at the site in question anyway.
But of course if , as the op,has been urged on here, she's making too much fuss, she would be dissuaded from complaining?
I suggest the,op complain to the hse, then they can log the complaint- who are you to say there haven't been many others?
Then they as a secondary measure can report it to the management, highlighting they have reported it to the hse.0

Leisure centres are struggling a bit round me with some being closed down due to a shortage of funds.
I wouldn't like to claim compensation from a leisure centre due to a minor accident that could have been avoided if I had kept a better eye on my kid.
Big companies then maybe go for compensation but something like a Leisure centre it just seems a bit wrong.
A kid can fall trip over and hurt themselves anywhere e.g a park or the street. I always think it's my job (the parents) to look after her. Not a receptionist near by.0

Disagree. A breach of safety is a breach.
I think it's irrelevant the size and " importance" of the company, leisure centres are often privately owned , are you saying incompetence should be ignored depending on status?0

Wrong way around I'm afraid. As with everything else you go through the companies complaints procedure before escalation.
Same for companies to hse as it is companies to FOS as it is companies to ofgem as it is companies to cicra and so on. The governing bodies require this escalation and the resulting resolution or "deadlock" outcome before they get involved.0

Actually, to clarify, HSE won't do anything for these cases as they deem them "minor" and not "serious" unless there are repeated complaints.
HSE , of course, will do something if there is a major breach (serious injury or death).
Best to wait till someone is seriously hurt falling then.. Before doing the very unbritish thing of complaining?0

Jargon does not impress me-quite the opposite..0

Because what I ( and others) have stated is correct, we may use "jargon" ( you also used jargon when mentioning subject access requests) but at least we have used it in a correct manner to address the op's concerns.0
