If anybody involved with a private parking company stood for election as a local councillor, I think a timely 'letter to the editor' would be in order.

    My thoughts exactly.

Houston - we may have a problem! The Property Manager Administrator has forwarded me the correspondence between her and C2C. In the correspondence, Gavin the Operations Manager said in response to her request for cancellation "
Not a problem, who do I make the cancellation invoice out to ?

There are cancelations rates in place as per contract."

She replied to me - "

I have not been sent any invoices by Gavin."

Gavin's message was at the end of September.

Where do I go from here? It looks like the PCN were never cancelled.

See what others say, but maybe write to C2C and point out that in the event of any claim they would have no cause of action given that they are only an agent in a principal/agent relationship, and that the principal has confirmed in writing that they do not wish the agent to proceed.

This would be of significant interest to the judge, and would form part of your defence.

The invoice cancellation fee is an issue between them and the management company.

I wrote as above on Friday (would have been received on Monday) to Gavin Price, Operations Manager. I also added the original charge letter was addressed to 'notice to driver' for which I pointed out that a) they would not know who the driver was b) the car was stationary c) driving offences are of no concern to them.

I have not received a reply. The debt collectors wanted their money by today!

    What next ?

The Debt Collectors won't do anything. Their options are limited by the fact that they are pretty powerless to do anything. They can't take you to court, they can't knock on your door, they can't take your telly.

I'd be tempted to write to Capon at his delightful rural home and tell him to shove it up his a**e: http://www.seldenfarm.co.uk/

Who is Capon, and how do you know it is his property?

Just re-read the letter from the Debt Collectors and they say they ".. will recommend to the creditor's solicitor that court action should be taken ..."

I presume I don't want to ring them (!), even so both C2C and DRP use 0844 numbers and nothing on SayNoTo0870.com for an alternative.

    We know, we've discussed him!

C2C aren't in the IPC any more are they, or am I muddling them with someone else?

IGNORE THEM. THEY ARE NOTHING AT ALL. RELAX! They can do NOTHING AT ALL.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
