The only point of photos now would be in readiness for another PCN, and so we can have a look and advise you up front if there are wording issues/misleading sentences in the signs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well, well this was an interesting exercise!
Firstly a photo of the Capital2Coast parking sign
I hope it is clear enough to read.
Now a photo of the street across from my front door !
You can just see in the middle of the picture a bush. It was in front of this bush (flower bed) that my wife parked and her ticket was marked 'parked in the roadway'. Obviously parking there was gong to obstruct the free flow of traffic !!!
Now the interesting bit I discovered. To the right of the photo is a low level wall (there is a car parked the other side of it). There are some spaces marked out, and on the roadway it is marked 'VP'. We have taken that as 'Visitors Parking'. Anyway, I discovered when taking my photos it seems to be managed by a different PPC !
In fact the area to the other side of the wall all seems to be managed by Premier Park Ltd. However, AFAIK it is all part of the Estate.
I have e-mailed the Management Company to obtain clarification. In fact I have just received the minutes of last year's AGM in which they agreed to appoint C2C for parking enforcement. No reference to any other company.
Are there other areas where to PPC are managing the same road ?!
I will keep this thread updated with any response.Thank you for reading this message.0 -
I have been told this morning that Capital2Coast have been sacked ! They will be replaced by Premier Park in due course.Thank you for reading this message.0

Out of the frying pan ...........
That said, Premier currently sit within the BPA stable and can be easily taken care of at POPLA.
Not sure if 'stable' is the best descriptor for the BPA club - it's the IPC which operates out of The Stables at the Red Cow Yard :rotfl:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I started a new thread for this but happy to continue it here.
My wife got two parking tickets from the now sacked parking company (they have been replaced). Having contacted the Management company who contacted the PPC and had them cancelled.
Now we have had letters from the PPC saying this amount is overdue. The letter is address as 'Notice to Driver'.
I have written to them (on behalf of my wife) saying that the Management Company who had previously employed them to enforce parking on the Estate, had arranged for them to be cancelled. I quoted the name of the person that had dealt with it at the PPC.
I then referred to the FCN they had issued. Having read the whole thread, wern't these invoices issued by Capital2Coast before they were relieved of their duties?
If so, POPLA will be no help as they are with the IPC.
Do you have written evidence from the management co to say they had told C2C to cancel the invoices? If so, I would have thought that they would be laughed out of court if they did try a claim, but others may be better placed to advise on that score.Bournemouth - home of the Mighty Cherries0 -

I forgot they are not with POPLA.
I have an e-mail from the Property Management Administrator.
Dear Mr
I have had confirmation from Gavin at Capital 2 Coast that the parking charges have been cancelled.
I suppose Gavin could deny it, or they say he has now left the company or they have never heard of a 'Gavin' (but presumably HR records could prove / disprove that).

Sounds good, you even have a name to mention. When you reply, if the PPC don't confirm these are indeed cancelled then complain to whichever ATA they were with at the time of the Parking Events.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Having been assured by the property Management Company that they have confirmed with Capital2Coast that the charges have been dropped, we now have a letter from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd threatening Court Action if the (increased) payment is not made.
I will obviously contact the Management Company tomorrow morning, but should I be taking this further? (I previously e-mailed C2C). I also note that on all correspondence the surname is mis-spelt. I will ask my wife to check her Vehicle Keeper's Documents, but can they charge someone who doesn't exist (or could we all put the wrong name down on registration documents and avoid being fined for any vehicle offence?).Thank you for reading this message.0
