Pushed button, lost message. burgers, eggs and chips.
:doh:
Basically... I apologise for being MIA all week but I had "eyes" watching my every move and certain people don't know about my debt situation. So I liked posts and read everything but didn't write my own as I don't want people to know.
:embarasse
So... I am taking my place on the naughty step where I shall be for the rest of the month, apologising repeatedly for my stupid behaviour.
I ended up borrowing £50 from my mum. Somewhere along the line, I have miscounted my money. (I can't figure out where). So I ran out of money and had no credit card to bail me out. No money in the savings account so my mum lent me £50 which I am to pay back on the 1st November.
I feel so ashamed of how poorly I have done this month as it clearly shows that I still have very little self control when given free rein with my money. I had hoped I was learning.
In other, slightly brighter news, OH is now being paid monthly which makes the whole money thing a lot easier to do. We have discussed our savings and the plan is:
* Bongo Pot - £50 each a month.
We are now taking over the funding of the bongo, although it will still technically belong to my dad (due to issues with age of vehicle and stuff). This will cover insurance, MOT, road tax, etc.
* Holiday Pot - £50 each a month.
Erm... this one is a bit self-explanitory. This is our holiday pot which we shall use when going on holiday to make costs a bit fairer and equal.
* Xmas Pot - £1 each a day.
This will be between £28 and £31 a month depending on the number of days there are. This has worked so brilliantly this year that it will be making a welcome return next year too.
So... Hopefully this is the beginning of something good. Out of the ashes as they say...

Stewby - good to hear from you once more! You may be on the naughty step, but you won't be there tomorrow - tis not allowed! made another saving today. Phoned up our insurance company (building and contents) and told them i wanted to leave them mid policy as i'd been found a better deal.So they offered me a better deal and although its not alot its better in my pocket than in theirs.:hello: Just wished i'd done it at time of renewal. So made a list of when everything is due and stuck it onto the calendar. Savings so far this month total £755 per year. Pity our credit card debts are over £4,500.:mad: Decluttered 15 items to the local charity shop including my DD1 old guitar. Not used it. Wonder how long it will take her to notice its gone. Well where did today go - I had plans, I went astray.
Good night last night. DS1 phoned to tell me his day off had been changed and he had only realised when he was in work (no phones allowed) that he hadn't let me know. So the digging will be done tomorrow. Caught up with the Boiler man and he will install the new boiler next Friday. So then phoned mum to tell her I will not see her for the next 2 Fridays. She is looking forward to a quiet day tomorrow. Partner's grand-daughter and her husband both have the day off, school is closed so no 3.30 pick up so they are taking partner out for the day (he is okay if being driven around, but wants to come straight home after a meal).
Then had a phone call from DS2 who may move his things this weekend or possibly next weekend, has to rest after tea each day so that he can work the next so hasn't been able to do anything (it is all sorted in his head, just nothing physically moved) GRrr! Or cleaned or in any sort of order.
Found more washing, more rubbish and more washing up in DS3's room and anxious phone call from gf - he had taken the phone she has given him (I checked) but hadn't got it turned on. He thinks it is just in case they get separated whilst at conference but she had tried to phone him to tell him her dad was in town waiting to pick him up off his train. I said I thought he had also forgotten the noodles (the special noodles he went all the way to Manchester specially to collect - the ones that might be better/ more important than s*x) as I had just found a bag with 3 packs in.
So today more pegging out washing and bringing in dry/ nearly dry stuff - don't like it hanging round the house but don't want to start again. Intended to clean and clear spaces. Started well, more old bedding found on the top shelf in DS3's room (probably been there for last 3 years, since we had to find bedding for about 7 people one night). Old sleeping bag (as above) is in a bag and will go to cs before he comes back.
Bedding and a couple of t-shirts cut up for rags. Nightclothes culled - won't be able to wear pyjamas after op and hope by next winter will need a smaller size so they are going in the cs bag.
Ate hm soup to keep warm, boiled some eggs to go with the watercress and eaten nearly a whole bag of broccoli and cauli with a large cut up carrot and dip (very hungry today).
Leg wasn't great so went to get the photo albums from the attic. Put a load of photos on card when it was DS2's 21st. bought an album (cs) and been intending to make him his own book of photos up for a while 9some of the ones I used for his party, I can't bear to part with. So have spent all afternoon putting photos in a book and moving the remaining ones along in the book to fill up the gaps. This will be DS2's Christmas present and I've wrapped and labelled it so he can take it with the rest of his stuff. Hoping to do the same for DS3 and possibly get rid of the album without a front cover. (So glad I took the time to label and put them in order a few years ago). Had to phone someone up and ask him his daughter's dob as she was in some of the photos - knew her birth month, managed to remember the year after five minutes.
So not a wasted day but not as intended. But a NSD and more clutter gone. Not doing well on the sales - no show on yesterday's item (more worried about what DS3 will say). Will plod on, every little helps. Put DS3's quilts on the line to air and the clothes I thought he had hung up were underneath. Oh and I know you all keep blaming the mothers but I really did try with mine. There's a photo of DS2 with his Christmas present of a mini-Henry and DS1 with his little wooden iron and ironing board. Now I'm being undermined by DS3's gf who wants to do all the cooking and cleaning. Grrr!! I'm doing my best to train him (always been more difficult than the others- had a gift for getting his friends to tidy his toys for him).
Will post now before the laptop cuts out again.My mission in life is not only to survive,but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Hi peeps :wave:
Congratulations Mothernerd for your op date in 13 days! :T
So yesterday was a mega spend day after driving from London to Manchester to collect my new low mileage banger. She drives like a dream and has an interior that looks brand new so am very happy with my investment :A
Decided to give my purse and the spending a rest today! Not much left in it now other than a few pennies and some fluff
Tomorrow will be a spend day though as I need a haircut quite badly and this has already been accounted for..
Am well and truly pooped and am getting ready to climb up the wooden hill for some zzz action..
Nighty night all :wave:Ninja Saving Turtle

Evening all,
Lost a SFD due to OH! He forgot his lunch and a friend lent him £2 so he needed to pay them back, and we are off on holiday tomorrow (before OHs payday). I got cash out and bought chocolate from the shop to get the change to give to OH, and then he told me his friend had said to pay him when we are back from holiday. Oh well, I have chocolate
Tomorrow will be a spendy day as need to get petrol for the first leg of our journey to holiday and we are going to have tea on the wayReally looking forward to getting away and having a week off school.
I will try and keep reading whilst away. Hope you all have a good week, please sign me up for next month (I've forgotten who is doing November)

Morning guys. Pay day today so yesterday I set all the new budgets for November and today I will transfer money to various debts etc. I went slightly over my October food budget but only by a couple of quid. Had an Asda delivery yesterday as they had sent an e coupon for £10 off a £75 shop.
I will update my debt total a bit later on when I get the figures organised.
Kids finished for half term yesterday and DD is going on a guides camp tonight until Sunday so I am going to get her some sweets to take, I have a bag for the charity shop whilst in town and will also go to the bank and building society.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hello,
hopefully today will be an SFD for me. Got a pork leg with tatties in the slow cooker and might even puree some for DD (7 mo). Apparently she had pureed chicken korma in nursery yesterday and today will be pork and apples. DS was still on pureed peas and carrots at that stage when I weaned him at home. But I guess if she eats it then fine, develops her sense of taste and will hopefully make her even less fussy than DS who eats most things.
Friends are down from Aberdeen over the weekend so might have to get stuff tomorrow to make tea for them but we'll see.

Morning everyone
Sorry been MIA for a couple of days. Totally knackered after work
Well I have spent over the last day. My daughters limo bus for her 18th neede a £100 deposit. It's 700.00 and her dad is going halves. He paid his half to me yesterday together with money for other bits she needs for the day. It made me realise, he really is in a different world to me. He paid 750 staright into my account with a days notice (it's not needed till December). I would have to give it in instalments lol! I've also spent on two lacoste pink gift sets. I have just got 20.00 back from quidco, so thought I'd treat myself
and 1 for daughters christmas. That's me done now for spending apart from direct debits ect. At the end of the month I go below 5k :T I'm seriously wondering if I can make a push to becon DF earlier by just being really brutal for a few months. So for those that are Debt free, when you got to a certain amount and could smell feedom
did you stick to your longterm strategy or change tactics, please share :T Thanks
:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0
