Another NSD for me. # 2 :j :j. I'm so chuffed which is a bit ridiculous really, it's only 2. But I haven't had 2 in a row for ever. Also because I was thinking about coming here and posting I didn't buy the can of coke I desperately wanted either. :T so it will help the ole waistline too. :D

House completion expected around 22nd November :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j so I can see it being a tight month followed by a crafty Christmas. But as this house has central heating maybe not a cold draughty one! :rotfl:

    :hello: Hi all NSDers
Thats hilarious (not the bit about you falling down the stairs) but the bit about you speaking German. Reminds me of a friend who's parents are Italian - you could always tell when she'd had a few as she'd start randomly talking to taxi drivers (or anyone) in Italian

LOL Kerri that made me giggle:rotfl:

Okay, not done anything today really except sleep and come into work so I'm declaring number 2 :j. It's funny really, now I'm consciously not spending I'm making sure I have something proper to eat before I come into work; before I never thought I had time so would nip to a shop on the way in and end up both spending and eating c*ap!! Obviously I do have time as I've been doing it!

I'm planning on not spending tomorrow but know I will be on Saturday as I'm going out with some friends to a 'be in the audience' (radio) thing at the BBC, tickets for that were free and I got all our tickets cheap last week but I'm not planning on spending a lot, I also need to renew my prescription pre pay card which I'll probably do at work on Sunday. I don't need any shopping for a while but must plan when to do it and draw up a full list, am just sitting here meal planning at min to see if I can last until after my next stint on or if I will have to do it Mon/Tues. I'd rather leave it until freezer is almost empty- as I can get more in it then but we shall see.

    :hello:

Get back out there with the Narglehounds and find me some.....don't worry, I ''ll keep your beer and pretzels warm till you get back.....ah, the dancing is about to begin, followed by the yodelling contest...oh yes, your beer will be perfectly safe in the hands of Nargle.....

    Hi everyone,

Can I join again please and I'll aim for my usual 10 NSDs

And yesterday was NSD 1 :)
    Starting 2016 debt-free :D
    Emergency Fund: £350/£1000
  • Thank you! Well I think I'm going to combine your points 1 & 2. I've ordered them last week so it's basically a September spend ;) Plus I really needed some new ones since the ones I have now are like 7 years old (I know I know, don't judge me :o )

Oh and my mother tongue is luxembourgish :)

Glad to be of help. :) Remember that you make up all the rules for yourself. That's the beauty of the challenge.

You know,I'd never even heard of luxembourgish. :o
So,I looked it up on Doogle (as you do),and listened to RTL radio a bit, just to hear it.I do know some German, but this was something else.
    Thanks for sharing.

Today I am pleased to declare...It's the weekend! (well sort of - school is closed tomorrow though I'll be busy doing planning anyway!) and also NSD #1 I have so far resisted the urge to purchase lockets/soothers/similar though I may have to give in tomorrow!!

Sorry, but what are soothers? You mean a cough sweet?

Whoops, don't you hate it when you overshoot the bank / Post Office like that? :rotfl:

Yes,definitely, but knowing that my salary is in freefall,I'm trying to profit from any sale items going.
    I don't actually need the tops...it was a 'want' spend,but never mind,I could afford it....:o

I finally sorted out my budget yesterday. It was a total mess, and quite frankly, downing a few litres of lovely German beer helped enormously....What's that?......I've signed over all my budget money to Igor's new Lederhosen fund!:eek: ...and agreed to get Hubert a new pair of snazzy roller skates!:eek:
Nein, nein, nein, nein, nein!Das ist nicht gut.Ich bin sehr mortified....:(
Does anyone have an Parecetamol tablet for my poor wee head?

DeafLeopard I hope that today's a better day for you. :)

It's amazing what a small change can do to our spending habits. :j

Have a great time this weekend. Is it the first time you've been in the audience?
