solicitors letter

Haven't recieved anything back from either Miah Solicitors or UKCPS since I sent the letter off. However just went onto UKCPS website & input my PCN No. This was the reply I got:
Sorry, parking charge notice ****** does not appear to be on our system. If you are certain this is the correct number then it may be waiting to be entered. Please try again later. We endeavour to have tickets entered onto our system within 48hrs of issue.
Does this mean my PCN has been cancelled? Or have UKCPS acually sold the alleged debt? Has anyone else who got a Miah letter tried this?
Any feedback would be gratefully recieved.0 -
Don't worry about it. The alleged debt cannot be sold on. You were never going to get a reply from Miah. Their sole purpose was to sell their photocopied letter for a few shillings. If you want a laugh and have become hooked on the fight against the scammers, as I have, search here for Graham White Solicitors (aka Michael Sobell) He was the rent a letter solicitor when I first followed this forum.0

Sounds as if it's been cancelled to me! They cannot sell this because there is no credit agreement so the party they are pursuing (you) has never 'agreed' to the possibility of the liability being sold on. PPC 'debts' don't exist and can't be transferred, it goes against various consumer laws. CEL (another PPC) pretend they sell their PPC 'debts' to DEAL but in reality, they don't. It's a big fat lie and not possible for a non-CCA matter.Does this mean my PCN has been cancelled? Or have UKCPS acually sold the alleged debt? Has anyone else who got a Miah letter tried this?

Hi,
I too received a letter from Miah today and checked on uKCPS and the PCN number doesn't exist....so based on that...should I respond to the Miah letter in any way....or assume as there is no PCN I'm ok?
Many thanks0 -
Sounds to me like they're just trying it on. See how many people get nervy & pay up.0

No, it just doesn't come up as a live one to appeal or pay online (of course). Search the forum for Miah. You are NOT OK to ignore the letter.savings4me wrote: »Hi,

Hi guys I'm reading the information and I am in the same boat. I received a court letter today from miah solicitors through ukcps asking for a sum of £275. I have read all the forums and just struggling to understand as some are saying ignore and some say appeal. I haven't kept all the previous letters received as I was advised to ignore those also. Could someone just advise me on my next step? Should I ignore or take a more direct approach.0

Hi...inevitably there will be a reply saying type in MIAH and all will be revealed...
I sent MIAH an email and letter (with POP)over 2 weeks ago now...it was along the lines of what ChesterD posted and he got details of what to put in from another earlier post ....
As of today...I haven't heard anything....I hope it stays that way ... I guess the advice would be to do similar...can you remember what the circumstance of your ticket was?0 -

Absolutely correct. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
