    Hi,Digressing from my OP, Just to prove a point.I set 2 TSB classic plus accounts, one online 2 weeks ago, second via phone Monday (35 Minutes hard sell).No probs
    ,Topped up both with £2k. BUT, activation code for first hadn't come by monday, they said they would send another,( where did first one go.?) plus one for second account.10 more days;;if they arrive??
    Until they arrive, I cannot set up inter SO's for £500, so, cannot received interest, on both A.cs.£4k
    it aint plain sailing;;These activation codes are a ploy, and I should have known better than to put money in before I got them.
    Waiting game at my expense.

    No no you've got this a bit wrong. If you've only set these TSB accounts up this month and you have fully funded them then you have actually met the requirement for September.

    Very good suggestion. However the Paypal is linked to my other Lloyds account.

    You can probably change that pretty rapidly, or add it as a secondary account to pull funds from.

    @ Steve_xx - no and yes:(
    You can change the source account for the DD, but in my experience it takes well over a week.

    You can however add a secondary, and a tertiary :p etc account to pull funds from, but again takes a while.

    UPDATE.

    Once I explained the situation to one of the dd. beneficiaries which caused the problem they have agreed to give me compensation for the inconvenience this has caused. Therefore in my case is 3 times the amount of interest for the September period.

    I find just being nice gets you a lot further.

    Excellent result, and I absolutely agree about being nice. Well initially at least ;)

    Hi Steve, thanks for that, I was understanding that until online banking, fully funding, and paperless was set up, no interest would be paid.
    I'm wrong again.

    really? what did they try to sell you?

    Can you ring them / go into Branch and ask them to set up the SOs for you?
    Hi, they tried to flog extra cover,£10per month.Explained all their other A/cs in detail, and did I want any of them, even though I explained I only wanted Classic plus at the beginning;;
    Enormous amount of spiel;and if I wanted another 2 joint A/cs.which I do,I have to ring again, 2 seperate days, and repeat it all again..
    Then to cap it all, last night at 8 15pm, they rang me ,on landline, and just now on my mobile as I type. about a survey, even though I stated, NO phone calls or Texts, but, post and e-mail ok;;
    As for standing orders, until the account is activated, NO external transactions can be made;even though both fully funded;
    They sent me a security number, so why can't they activate over the phone??

    Thats what a SO is.tried this morning.
    "unless" Steve says Ive misunderstood again:
    probably have, story of my life..:rotfl:

    The paperless bit is important, and so a call to them to get them to set the paperless option might be a good idea. As both accounts are new in Sept and you have funded them with 2k each, then you have satisfied the funding criteria for September.

    Thanks Steve, when I set the second one up on the phone, I asked her to set up paperless, "ok", she replied;;
    BUT,(again) I checked today, not paperless, so set it up online, so both A/cs are paperless.
    Don't think I will bother with Joints Got 4 a/cs now, too much hassle on phone.See what tomorrow brings.
    nothing till codes come;;if they do?
    not like I can pull money back without them:D
    Probably do a joint Lloyds Club though.using both Tesco A/cs
    It is only 1 joint a?c lloyds Club allows isn't it??
    Not 1 each, like TSB;;
    Just had TSB market research on phone again, unbelievable;;
    Polite to them this time, but, not next time.
    Unlike Mable:)

    Lloyds club allows you to have 1 joint and 1 sole, so effectively 3 acc's between 2 of you

    UPDATE ON UPDATE.

    Well have now spoken to Lloyds Bank and they were brilliant and will see I do not lose my interest for the month in question.

    I was very, very happy with the goodwill payment.
