  • We are indeed seeing an influx of letters from this organisation and whilst it can be contended the semantics of whether Ian Brill is a consultant or on the payroll - he is cited as being on the Team and to contact for advice, with a direct email link for the business - which suggests he is more than a consultant.

We have dealt with several letters from this organisation already all from one named individual - which MSE will get the jitters if named here.

However we have no qualms in naming individuals or providing further information regarding this company as per our blog:

there is of course another reason why Ian Brill is not named as a solicitor on the payroll at the SRA - read the blog and links to find out !

So that's why he's a consultant and not a member of the staff proper? These PPC companies certainly seem to go out of their way to find dodgy outfits - are they the only ones they can get to play along?

My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

It seems strange that Mr Miah does not mention Mr Brill's interesting past on his website. Should someone not bring this forgetfulness to the attention of the SRA or perhaps the ASA.

He was after all fined £68,000 by the FSA

I remember that boiler room case. It was unusual because, unlike similar scams which operate offshore, this case involved a firm of supposedly respectable solicitors, in a central Leeds office.

So Mr Brill is a bankrupt and has received large fine from his regulatory authority. So he fits the bill exactly to do work for the likes of UKCPS.

Maybe they bumped into each other at the Blooming Rose pub when Stephen Hall (he of the same name of a person who lost against UKCPS in 2011) was drowning his sorrows about the recent court cases they've lost.

I got a response from Nominet that they have contacted the domain owner and registrar regarding the website issue. :)
Thank you for contacting us regarding the themiahsolicitors.co.uk domain name. You have informed us that you believe that the domain name is incorrectly opted out of the WHOIS. We have investigated themiahsolicitors.co.uk and have issued notice to the registrant and registrar that the address details for the domain name will be opted in to the WHOIS unless changes are made so that the domain name meets the opt-out criteria.

So a bankrupt who was fined a huge sum for his part in a scam is still a solicitor. Tells you everything you need to know about the regulation of lawyers in this country.
