Can I post my drafted letter here? The one I intend to send to Miah Solicitors?

Also is there any way I can find the Land Owners details - contact number/email to use to get in touch with?
  • Also had the same letter from them, although mine was parked out of bay.

Anyone like to proof my defence letter - totally fed up with UKCPS ignoring the states facts within the Act itself!

The Miah Solicitors (a trading title of The Miah Solicitors Ltd) is something of a misnomer in that there is only 1 solicitor in the firm - Sufe Miah.

As far as the CSA is concerned this is going to be a wasted effort in that as a solicitor Miah is governed by the SRA who actually have some substantial powers in terms of the profession such as taking over or even closing down a business. As far as I can see Miah is not a member of the CSA in any event which is just a membership organisation.

That said it would appear that Miah do not have a current full or interm licence from the FCA. However, prior to the Financial Services & Markets Act - which did away with the OFT's powers to issue CCA licences - the majority of solicitors were covered by the Law Society's group CCA licence. That has now gone by the board and as of February 2014 members were advised to apply for an interim licence unless they were happy they could claim exemption under the provisions of Part 20. The exemptions - which relate to the provision of professional services - are likely to see most solicitors to slip out from under. Regardless of this they will still have to work within the SRA's own financial rules.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Maybe that's what I'm remembering ... a trading company cannot hide registrant details. If they won't comply with Nominet rules then they can have their domain seized. :D

If Nominet receives a complaint it will give them the opportunity to comply and if they fail to do so then, yes, they will lose the domain.
