UKCPS and The Miah Solicitors

First of all I would just like to say thanks for reading this threat and would appreciate any help in this matter.
I received a letter today from 'The Miah Solicitors' notifying me that they have been instructed by a client - UKCPS in connection with an outstanding parking charge. The letter details my car registration, the time and place of offence and a ticket number.
The parking event is described as 'The land where the vehicle was parked had various conditions for restricted parking, whereby, parking fully complying to a specific condition, you contractually agreed to pay a parking charge plus any additional charges incurred as a result of non payment.'
It also goes on to say that there was an initial charge of £100 and as this has not been paid I need to make a payment of £275 which included legal fees within 14 days of the this letter.
The letter also does not refer to any other letters with dates and or references
The parking charge notice was due to the vehicle being parked in a disabled bay within a private gym car park. Now I have been looking through several threads on this forum today and I am overwhelmed with the amount of information available. However I am unsure as to what action I should take. Should I just ignore the letter or appeal it by writing to the solicitors firm.
I did read somewhere on this forum that parking on a disabled bay in a private care park - does not require you to display a blue/disability badge and therefore the penalty is no enforceable?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Do you have need for an adjustment under the Equality Act 2010 which would be accommodated by use of a disabled parking bay? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

How interesting - a supposed legal company breaking the law.
As to the original incident ... was there a windscreen ticket? Did you receive a postal notification? Dates of each? (Incident, windcreen ticket (if applicable), first postal notification).0 -
What a strange law firm to choose. According to what I can find out about them, this law firm specialises in property, personal injury and family law, not debt collection. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Ah well, when did you last meet a solicitor who wouldn't pimp himself for anything to turn a penny?Je suis Charlie.0 -
There was a windscreen ticket, a quite scrappy looking one which I just regarded and I believe I did receive a a further correspondence several weeks later which I also ignored. I have been using the same car park for a few years now and have often received the same type of windscreen tickets however this is the first time I have had a letter from a solicitors firm. The reason I initially parked there was that the gym car park usually has no free bays at approx at 5-6pm and one has no alternative but to park in a disabled bay.
@Umkomaas, apologies but I'm not sure I understand your question0 -

The no frills version is - did you have any legitimate reason for parking in the disabled bay? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

This is a Leeds firm, well I say firm very loosely, they are a bit of a laughing stock shall we say.
With any solicitor, you can start ramping the bill up for the other side by asking certain questions they are obliged to answer under SRA rules.
Here is a good one, Dear Solicitor please can you clarify under what process you are working.
Litigant or debt collector
(if they have asked you to pay them the money) As you do not appear to be registered with the Credit Services Association so I am slightly confused why you are acting as a collection agency when you are not a member.
I shall also ask the SRA and the Credit Services Association to clarify the situation as to which hat you are actually wearing.
The debt collectors hat or the litigants hat.
I await your response.
This will be good, get a seat and a drink ready.I do Contracts, all day every day.0
