Eeeeek! This beast is at #3 in the Top40 this week. What is the world coming to? Lots of skin on show. Be sure not to look if you have just eaten, it might all come out again.

Incidentally has anyone been to a store that has started with the Match and More thing? Were you able to see a breakdown of your shop and how they decided on how many points you got? TIA

Don't remember who, but yes someone did post that they'd used this the other day. From what they posted, it would seem that no you don't get any sort of breakdown on how the points are calculated.0 -

Thanks for replying. That hardly sounds transparent does it?
Not only do M fail with their refund being in points, you need to be overcharged by £5 before you get to spend them and you must tell them details about yourself and family before you can get their card and therefore participate.
The weakest of all the supermarkets' apg/pp type systems if you ask me.

Evening all.
I've been lurking in this thread for a few days, trying to get my head around glitches, apgs and whatnot (still not entirely sure what triggers and invisible triggers are, but that's by the by).
I've learned a lot, and stocked up on pasta sauce, so I thought I'd share something that I noticed, which I don't think I've seen mentioned anywhere.
If you're doing a muller shop, you're better off buying 12 than 10.
Buying 10 costs you £4 (40p each), but msm thinks you paid £6.80. Then it compares with sainsbos @ £5.76 for the same number of yoghurts, giving an apg of £1.62. So your 10 yoghurts end up costing you £2.38, or 23.8p each.
But sainsbos are on 6 for £3, so only buying 10 means you miss out on a multi buy and end up comparing full price to full price on 4 pots.
So if you buy 12 it costs you £5.36, but msm thinks you spent £8.16. Which means you get an apg of £2.76, bringing your actual spend after apg down to £2.60, or 21.6p per pot.
Apologies if this is something you all automatically do, but I was staring at my apg comparison and trying to work out why I was getting the 50p comparison price on some but not others, and kicking myself when I realised what I'd done.
Of course if you buy 30 pots then it comes down to 20p each, but who has the fridge space for that? :rotfl:Oct Challenges: Make £5 a day - £5.18/£155 Grocery Challenge - £0/£2000 -

Oh well done for increasing from £2.89 to £4.17!:T:T
I had another £7 earlier on - and then a £5.59:D:rotfl: - alright, enough bragging!:D:D:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

I thought it'd be very hard to argue if they get it very wrong, which they're bound to at some point? I agree, it's probably the weakest price comparison scheme for that reason alone. Time will tell just how hit and miss it is. It's not even in my local stores yet, although according to their FB page it should be in all stores by the end of the month.0
