Can I just ask what the size of thr box is please? And how much are these costing please?

The thorntons Classic were suppose to be the bags around 160g I think, not sure the weight of the toffee that was subbed. Classic were reduced in store to 50p, the toffee were still £2.50 per box. On c&c or hd I think someone worked out they payed me 10p to take them away. If I'm wrong I think someone will correct me.

Just looked the toffee was 300g

Read the whole thing thinking it was too much effort, disappointed

I got excited at the part "Wonder if it applies to beans with sausages?":D, precisely the sort of question that I like to think about and delve in depth into researching the answer! However, I think I agree with this - indeed why not just go to Lidl? As you need to get £5 amounts, and can only redeem in that, it does seem to be worse for that. I suppose a bit like Nectar points though - but then you don't have to spend any money to get Nectar points - can use Ad Points and Nectar Search. I always think of loyalty schemes as us giving the stores interest-free loans:(. I never collected enough on the old M Miles card, I gave up:(:(:( and M was rarely the cheapest on the fuel in my area.

I shan't be bothering with this - it gives no benefit with being a match. The only thing is if there are cond.spends that pop out - that's the only 'saving' I can see and, even there, I never spend enough to get any of them. Of course in the hands of M's system as to whether you do get the match or not. There's bound to be errors but, as for finding any in our favour, I suspect it'll be nearly impossible to work out which item has the error, as you don't get results breakdown and prices are changed every day. I think I'll stick to paying with wombles and APGs to get APGs.

As long as you make sure the pasta sauce is one sold by sainsbos, yes.

(For ref AvM on yoghurts works out at 26p per pot when you buy 10 because Morries has them on at 5 for £3, instead of 6 for £3)

Oh. So is Morries offer of 5 for £3 being picked up now, when old 10 for £3 never was? I reckon 5 at vs 5x 68p for M (=£3.40):rotfl:.

That's vs Sains - and useful for N.I. But doesn't buying vs Waities (10 - you might not need any fillers as lots of different ones anyway) work out cheaper? As you get mbuy for 8 of them. I thought Sainsbobs was slightly more expensive than T anyway, due to individual price being a penny higher there.

Waities - 20.24p per pot (buying 10), may go up or down to 20.2p/20.3p depending on exactly what comparable total is, whether it is exactly divisible by ten or whether it rounds up to the nearest penny.

True, but looking at msm on my phone, Waities doesn't seem to have that many flavours on - specifically not the Turkish Delight, which I can eat by the bucket-load. Presumably if it can't find the flavour, it won't compare, so won't 'see' the multibuy?

Nope, my mistake, the multi is showing on msm, but not showing on the apg comp at all. Just compares to full price each time.

Waities has plenty of flavours for me but, yes, if you specifically like Turkish Delight, then vs Sainsbobs (with 12) may be the way to go:T.

It'll still see Waities mbuy vs Waities as long as you hit the number of comparable ones, just that if for example you bought one Turkish Delight (assuming all the rest - 9 - compare), you'd lose 6.8p as the Turkish Delight wouldn't give 10% itself.

You could get two Turkish Delights and 8 Waities-comparable ones, then lose 6.8p x2 = 13.6p from the APG. Which means £1.84 APG instead of a little higher. Cost for the ten then 21.6p each.

But, for example, get three Turkish Delights and 7 Waities comparable, and you only get 4 at 50p and 3 at 68p, as 'hits' only one Waities mbuy on them.

They did a similar thing on one of my wombles about a week ago. They bought ten, when M was 10 for £3, but one was non-comparable, so that is 9 at M full price. Unlikely to have picked up mbuy vs M even if they had got 10 comparable, as pricing for M taken instore and they don't manually link up every single one to every other one as being the same offer or, even it seems, have one of them alone on the 10 for £3 - I think they would have to scan each one 30 times (as they collect every price under their procedures three times) and then scan every possible permutation thirty times over. Perhaps not, maybe 10 of Muller number 1. Then 10 of Muller 1 again. Then 10 of Muller 1. Then 9 of Muller 1 and 1 of Muller 2. Repeat twice. Then 9 of Muller 1 and 1 of Muller 3 and so on. Repeat, repeat. 8 of 1, 1 of 2 and 1 of 3, repeat whole lot, repeat whole lot. 8 of 1, 2 of 2, repeat, repeat. 8 of 1, 2 of 3, repeat, repeat. I think, in short, impossible for them to achieve. That's just the single Mullers and forgetting taking the prices of anything else in the store. Then you'd have to have every one of the six price collection teams in different stores picking all of them up with the mbuys on each all the same, to contribute the overall results to the APG system. (Or at least maybe three in England. Or two if you are in the Scottish collection. Or one in Wales?)

No don't worry!:) I'm perhaps being a little harsh and putting things across a little too directly:o:o, although sometimes it's because I'm trying to be as clear as possible. My apologies if so - and I should be saying: welcome! As a (fairly) newbie!
