    Hi all

Just back from sainsbugs and was checking my receipt.
I had 2 x 50p vouchers for cravendale milk. Cravendale milk is £2.20 each :eek:. She tried to scan the 50p vouchers but then did something manually. She only deducted £2.20 for each of the milk so was free :eek: Also the cravendale milk is £1.50 in asda so get £1.40 back for the brand match (subject to me being able to check the BM online......how long does that take to appear? ) . So made £1.40 profit on 8 pints of milk :o

    Afternoon :)
If anyone else went for the goodlife 1p bulbs offer, I got my 3 packs today. They sent me 3 packs of each of the 3 types I ordered :D, I just assumed they would just send 3 packs total. Happy bunny :)
This was the thread I got them from https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5060678

Only problem now is to identify the ones in the mixed packs or just bung them in the ground and see what emerges. Also as they're spring bulbs and daffs can I plant them out now or wait a while? Don't want them eaten by slugs. TIA

    Hi SD
Plant your bulbs now. Slugs Dont bother with them so they'll be fine when they start to emerge in the spring.
I wonder if you got the same mixed packs as me? I have 25 small ones in a brown paper bag. Im guessing these are alliums by the size.
The other mixed bag is plastic and has 10 bigger sized bulbs in. I think these are daffs, most probably miniature ones. Definately no tulips in mine, they're not big enough.
Im quite excited to see what emerges :D

It hissing it down here :(

I have an elderly relative whose had a stroke and is finding cooking for himself difficult. He doesn't live close enough for us to visit that often, so I've been having a think what I can do. I made some beef in red wine yesterday and a big pan of mustard mash. I put the mash in a muffin tin, forked it into little peaks and put some parsley on and froze it, and I froze individual portions of the beef. I'm going to part cook some veg as well. My plan is to put all the frozen components for a meal in a clearly labelled bag, then he can just put them on a plate, defrost it if he wants then zap it in the microwave. Please can anybody spot a flaw in the plan, has anyone got any clever ideas as to how I could do it better or any good ideas for dishes suitable for an elderly person that freeze well? Thanks folks!
    Hope is not a strategy.
