Macaroni cheese freezes well,pasta bakes ,lamb hotpots,roast dinners,cauliflower cheese,I cook quite a lot for older people,they seem to like things that are easy to prepare, not spicy and easy to digest.
Salmon and fish pie if they like it,anything in sauce seems to freeze well and reheats easy.
Oh brains kicked into 1st gear, mum used to freeze leftover sliced roast meat in gravy, that reheated easily.
Also lasagne, I used to add veg to the meat layer to bulk it out and then, when cool, wrap the portions straight into cling film.
If you have containers you can use then risotto freezes well as does rice topped with stroganoffThere comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne ... Bette Davis0 -
This isnt funny but the fact that someone *actually* made this decision is :rotfl:

I didn't think I had any news, as I've managed to pick up a couple of wombles and they are only on shops not done today. However - it's not much news - but we are on the new price collection. This shop was done yesterday, but see what I mean about not delaying on entering receipts if you were buying the expired Morries offers? It has picked up the Savoy Cabbage:T - may help if you need to spend a few pence more money, add them to the APG and get in effect same price as the Tenderheart Cabbage. Or if you only like Savoy Cabbage and not Tenderheart:wall::rotfl:.
Conference Pears are also a filler for now vs Morries (and everywhere) - might start picking up M at 99p (they are on 2 for £1.50 as well there, but obviously more expensive). :idea:Does that mean Morries' Conference Pears packs are an Mvs A item?
...
:think:
Pass:rotfl::rotfl:.
I was prophetic (:rotfl:) about the Heinz soup, as just knew that would start ruining the wombles. It seems that, for now, if you have a participating Morries, and don't forget to use a "Match & More" card, the Heinz Soups are definitely items to be buying in M vs A. I suspect M would never want to let people have those for 50p - I don't think I've seen them at that price in M:think:- so I'd definitely be tempted to say it's an item to be matching M to A on. However, 50p is not a very good price:rotfl:.
The Fusilli here remains vs T (at 50p).
Before I go, a quick 'customer in front' story - as if anything is "quick" with me:rotfl: - they always get the prepacked 335g Broccoli don't they?:rotfl::rotfl: I saw yet another one going through, at 49p, when the loose broccoli is cheaper!

MSM and MSL are driving me crazy. I saw some yogurts on MSM to get cb. Did a list for sainsbugs and managed to get the list on my iphone. Went round the shop ticking off my shopping and now when I try to submit the receipt it is saying to add vouchers to get cb but there are no vouchers on the iphone msl app for the yogurts but on the MSM site it is still saying get 25% cb on these yogurts :mad:
Have emailed them but maybe someone here knows where Im going wrong
tia
MSL and MSM operate independently with offers. Sometimes, they are on both simultaneously, other times they are not. You have to watch it closely.0 -
They used to accept email back in the day but i think it's only meant for online shops nowadays.springdreams wrote: »Which means you need to order them HD or C&C to get the cb.
Thanks for your replies
Their website is really confusing though :mad:0 -
afternoon all A bit of info for anyone who applied for a M&S credit card I have just received an e mail with a £30 voucher (wine) attached to it Not bad for a £10 spend in store using the credit card and paying it off strait away and cutting up the card
I have got the email as well. But I received a £5 voucher (for points) with no minimum spend with the credit card. So I am receiving £35 vouchers/points for a 40p reduced price egg sandwich!
Haven't we done well? :money::money::money::money:0 -
I've removed the expired items from the M list, as we are now on the new price collection (for APG). I've left a few on Tvs M as you can see a few now Mvs T items that way.
I normally change the bold items to normal text at this point. However I've left them bold for today - at least on the A and T parts - to allow you to get used to what they are, as there are 'more than usual'. HTH.
I wonder if:
1 Counter Rainbow Trout
Double Length Eday Toilet Roll
T Dental Floss (50m)
is the start of a good Tvs M shop, assuming that T are on the new M prices (they are normally quicker on this than the APG).0 -

:rotfl::rotfl:Although I know I shouldn't laugh:o as it is a serious illness. I have the opposite issue - I have obsessions, though they are not OCD obsessions but Asperger obsessions instead - key difference (though it's not straightforward) is that OCD are compulsive obsessions, things that you don't like to keep doing, whereas Asperger ones, you do it because you enjoy it and it provides a functional role in your life (much like, I suspect and have come to conclude, socialising plays a functional role for allistic people - it's not as straightforward as this sounds here though).
My obsessions - one of which is being on here and writing about my obsessions and Asperger's:rotfl: - will lessen my cleaning of the house. Not sure if it is a great "problem" as such* - as I still do things and get round to them, but perhaps not as timely there as the allistic person and it's more difficult to get started doing household tasks (once I get started, I often can't stop though) - a bit of an executive functioning impairment, although not severe, these things come in different degrees, or what might be called "executive functioning dysfunction". I might have a bit of a sensory processing disorder as well, not that that has any real negative impact on my life - indeed, if it exists, I might well be able to hear things more clearly than most people can.
Perhaps I need an OCD companion. But I digress, and it's not a laughing matter. With me though, my (Asperger) obsession(s) would 'stop' me from cleaning rather than start me cleaning. Although it is bit exaggerated to say they "stop" me, as they don't prevent me, or really impair me that greatly, but they do cause a bit of procrastination. Now, if my Asperger obsession, or one of them, was study of different cleaning liquids as well as doing cleaning with them, then they could well cause that (cause me to do a lot of cleaning) and that might, at some point in my life, become the case, because my obsessions can change - depending on what I like doing at different times in my life. Anyway, that's enough:rotfl::rotfl: - best go now and sort some of the house out!:j
*I hesitate to call it that, but then again maybe it's more of a problem if you don't see it as a problem - the first stage is recognising you have a problem. Maybe it is - but not a great one, so overall I'm fairly okay. And I recognise and see all these things with my great level of intelligence.0 -
