Posh as in expensive was my Mercedes C220CDi, it was £22,000 new and apart from MGP (66) it was expensive to keep on the road, tyres, spares, road tax, insurance and the exhaust blowing was what did for it in the end after 10 years on the road.

Posh as in what felt the best to drive was a wreck of a Woolsley 1800 automatic, there were so many things wrong with it I'm sure that was the car that made me bald but for driving pleasure and comfort it has been second to no other car that I have driven.

Lexus LS430, I bought it 6 years ago for £8,000, apart for the 24MPG it has been very economical to run.

    Just a Toyota then:)

No offence intended it's just a joke for those who have been following the other "take delivery" thread.

Honda Civic EX. All the fancy gadgets I need/want, reliable and comfy. Decent fuel ecomomy and runs quietly on motorway runs with plenty of poke to overtake on country roads - though I gather this is technically illegal as it is only a 1.8 ;)
Not really posh either though on the other hand I do actually own it...
  • Rover SD1 3500 VandenPlas gold colour. Lovely to sit in and great in a straight line, would do well over 120mph!!!!
I had the same Rover V8 VP but mine was metallic blue, fast as a race horse going straight, went round corners like a old heifer :) , loved it to bits though.

I had one of those too. Mine was dark blue with a cruise control with a mind of its own. It could be quite an exciting car.

My current Lexus RX450h (yeah another Toyota owner here), I drive it hubby pays for it :rotfl: I couldn't care less what I drove really but I love this car for having cured my quick foot, driving in ecco is my new goal.
And my previous car was the IS250 so the thread mentioned made me chuckle. :)
  • I bought my lifetime dream of Tornado Red Golf GTi Tubro in 2005. Woah, what a little beaut. But I got it out of my system within a year and sold her on. Still have happy memories of that though :) Not had such a stunner since (in terms of the wow factor at least). Currently driving a Mini Cooper which is great too.

Don't do posh here :D I don't drive but OH has always only ever owned sensible reliable little runarounds. I have however had a trip in a Rolls Royce though which was quite nice :)
