But the funds have been processed, i received an email to confirm the payment had been taken and the amount owed is nil.
Why exactly did you think to post on a credit card thread rather than the consumer rights thread which would be obviously the right place to post...are you the only one in your world allowed to get things wrong?0 -

I really don't understand why people think it's acceptable to be rude just because they are on the internet. I sincerely hope that you aren't like that in real life...0 -

You have two choices:-
1) Let it go.
2) Contact The Sun, pose for a picture of you looking sad holding your passport and spin them a yarn how Thomas Cook have 'ruined your dream holiday' and see if they will bung you a freebie to shut you up.0 -
Thanks to those who have posted advice for us, supporting our situation or not. We appreciate you comments and there have been a few funnies along the way. We wanted to push this as far as we could, but have decided of course, just get our money back. We knew they would not honor the holiday, but we hoped someone out there would come up with some magical legal technicality which meant we could get the holiday at the quoted price.
There are some generally nice and knowledgeable people on here. Our sympathies go out to those smart !!!!!! who clearly have nothing better to do. Its a shame some people cant act their age, but parents cant keep an eye on their kids all the time.
Thanks again all:T0 -
Well done for having the balls to come back and admit you cannot have the holiday for the price quoted.0

Excuse me? You were acting like a vulture. You knew FULL WELL it was a mistake and not a special offer, and people pointing out that fact did nothing wrong. You have no right to lecture anyone on adult behaviour.0 -
It doesn't even matter what their Ts & Cs say, even if we (wrongly) agreed that you have entered a binding contract for the provision of a holiday in exchange for £20, they could totally discharge their liability by refunding the £20, if they have even debited it.
This thread is ridiculous.0
