Thomas Cook Bargain Holidays or Error

It's Thomas Cooks system error. And as they say in their T & C's, they won't be bound by the price. I would have looked at it and thought, thats a mistake, there's no way they'll honour that.
If you want to fight, crack on.
i just thought it was a bargin holiday :j and if there was a mistake it wouldnt let me process the booking and send me the travel documents...twice.0 -

You are using a service provided and accepting the terms of using that service. They have a right to withdraw that service under certain conditions which they exercised. You have no come back.
Twice or tens or times doesn't come into it. The system can't detect error'd prices, so they'll remain until found and corrected.
If you can prove that Thomas Cook are doing this deliberately then you may get them fined and maybe a small amount of compensation for your disappointment, but don't expect a free holiday.
I remember buying a TV from Argos for £1. It never arrived. Argos emailed me to say that the price was in error and as per the T&Cs they cancelled the order and refunded my £1. Same thing.0 -
Take them to court ....go on I dare you.

So are you saying there's a debit/credit card transaction complete with full "Thomas Cook" description for both bookings - and especially the one allegedly made this morning - already showing on your bank statement/recent transactions list?...the same day? I've never seen one, let alone two, appear that quickly before (and I have 22 current accounts and 8 credit cards).
Screen shot required (personal details omitted of course).0 -

Its so easy for companies to fall back onto their Terms and Conditions or small print. They should be more in the customers favour. From speaking to them and reading online, I'm not expecting a free holiday, I'm just expecting a company as big as Thomas Cook not to mislead their customers... like i said in my first post, i have noticed a few of these cheap deals, turkey for £7 pp, Majorca for £23 pp and at the time of me booking this holiday there was also another hotel in the Dominican Rep for £30 pp and 13 nights BnB in Turkey for £33 pp. How can they allow their website to offer these deals and allow customers to book. The Majorca holiday was on there over a week go, if there is an obvious error with their website, a weeks long enough to do something about it !!
I'm just peeved... I want my holiday0 -

They funds are no longer in my available balance, a debit card transaction wouldn't show up the same day! it usually takes a few days to appear on your statement. But the funds have been processed, i received an email to confirm the payment had been taken and the amount owed is nil.0 -
T&C's are exactically that, or in other words, a get out clause for big companies to cover their butts when things like this happens.
It was a nice try, unfortunately it hasn't worked. just ask for your money back and claim they are misleading.0
