Free Laptop with AOL now! (merged)

HI I'm confused we signed up to this today upgraded the laptop and opted out of talk talk. My phone is with post office will I still be able to connect to AOL broadband using this phone line or do I have to revert back to Bt?

Sorry if this I'm sounding dumb maybe in future I shouldn't read back over long threads after I've done something and then start worryong I've done it all wrong.

My phone was switched to talk talk yesterday when it should of been today...I am really mad cos I haven't received anything from AOL and we can't access our email or anything as AOL have taken over our old provider..They said everything will be here in 2-3 days..I need my internet now..I can't access any emails as It's blocked on my work PC...I am not happy at all..what if nothing comes in 2-3 days..Tried ringing them last night..got passed to 3 different people..waste of time I ended up hanging up...I can't even ring my local store as the number I ring is a call centre..not a good start

I'm waiting for the router too, and today is the day AOL starts. Not sure how to set up the old modem whilst waiting. Anyone know the settings (I have a AOL username and password).

if u have the old BT AOL router u dont need no settings just ur screen name and password and the driver CD!

laptops sud b arrivin about now 4 ppl who orderd when it first came out, any1 got theres yet? mines supose 2 be comin this wk so AOL say!!! lol cant c it happening...

..duno why i diss AOL cos i've been with them for years n there good provider just have a !!!! software but by settin up homepage on ie to www.aol.co.uk u get all the great aol info in 1 and using outlook ur sorted!!

My AOL started yesterday instead of tomorrow....I have no software but was told to pick up a disc from asda or woolys as carphone warehouse don't have them?...Got one from asda....Where do I get my password etc from..Don't tell me I have to ring them again and get passed to 3 different people..I will scream

u sud receive a letter in the post with it but if u ring up they'l give u 1 over the phone!

I ordered on the day after the offer went live (or "available", if you prefer). My router arrived last Thursday (20th), and my laptop still hasn't arrived. I think I read somewhere it takes 7-10 days after the router arrives for the laptop to arrive.

I think the gap between the router and the laptop is caused by the 'cooling off' period you have after your service is set up (they quoted me 14 days for set up, then 7 days cooling off, then laptop at the end of the 7 days)
