All the best for the big move! Hope it's stress free for you :)

A little story from me - the day we were moving into our house, we picked up the keys from the estate agents at 1pm as agreed. I drove up to the house with my son and sister to get in there before the removals van came up and the previous owners were not only still in the house but all their stuff was still in there. They were still moving out! They told me to come back at 6 and when I did they were gone... so weird!

Thankfully I laughed about it afterwards...

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

    Hi everyone

Sorry I have not been in touch over last few days.

I have spoken to Abba and Dolly on fb/whats app with all the stress lol (poor yous :))

They left the tv stand panels to wall and once took off the damage to the walls are shockingly bad! Like needs a full wall plastered.

They left the wardrobe I stated I did not want as my sons bed, once dismantled it showed that wall is a mess and also flooring undone.

The cove in its self is a riot as they just took off the train set and left it in a shocking state. I have been working like a maniac all weekend moving furniture / cleaning and building etc and trying to fix parts of the wall. I am looking into a plaster no point stripping the wall when its gonne get re done I guess. The kitchen will get painted this weekend (cupboard will be done when back from holidays)

They also left drawers and bed side cabinets (though my friend is taking them) and the cheek the owner daughter text saying hey hope you having fun moving in, we left a picture if I can come get it!!?? I could not reply was like eh aye plus a wardrobe and drawers and bedside cabinets. So chose to ignore.

I have taken pics and sent to lawyer to complain.

    Rant over lol sorry!!

    2 weeks until Spain
3 weeks and 1 day until Belfast.

Sh*t ton needed done in my house so gonna be busy busy lol!

Also found out getting a £1k pay increase which will be (£50 increase per month) this means I can raise what I pay back my mum and dad monthly and pay them off quicker..... then attack this blinking house lol xxxx

Congratulations on your new home. I hope you and your son will be very happy there.

Every house I have bought I have found damage, broken bits and stuff they never told me about like iron burns on the carpet, broken locks etc. or they have left stuff behind for me to get rid of.

The first flat I bought went through on the Friday and they refused to move out until the Saturday as they didn't want to take anytime off work. No one told me though and I had all my stuff loaded on the van and was sat on their (MY) doorstep at 7.00am on the Saturday.

I did have the last laugh at this house though. The owners left a broken old bench with cast iron legs down the side of the shed. Unbeknown to them the legs are collectors items. We had a new seat made and it is now worth over £1000. :)
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75
  • It will all be worth it when it's done the way you want it but you are right to complain with how they have left it.

Cannot believe she text you asking for that picture, what an absolute cheek!
