If you want to leave because of the price increase you can (and get refunded the unused part of the advance rental you have paid)

There are reports that they try it on by telling callers that advance rental was subject to a 14 day cooling off period and cannot be refunded but that is soon dealt with!
Hi what happens if you stay do you have to pay the increase from Dec till your line rental runs out

I upgraded from bt broadband to infinity in August on an 18 month contract.
Does this mean I can leave as no mention of a price hike was said at the time of upgrading.

You won't have to pay any increase in your line rental till the advance rental you have paid reaches the end of its 12 months

I rang BT today as i wanted to cancel my broadband because of the price hikes, which they agreed to but when I asked them about the unused part of the advanced line rental they told me exactly that, that I had a 14 day cooling off period earlier and i cannot be refunded.i just sort of accepted. But is there away to get the part refund on the line rental?

    thanks

Complain to the CEO office that you are being wrongly penalised.

Sort of happy with BT but would be nice to upgrade to Infinity - has anybody been offered some sort of retentions deal?
