    Hello,

I have just received the letter detailing the Price Hike and will use this to Notify them of my intent to terminate my contract penalty free.

Was wondering do i first contact BT and ask for my Mac code and then go to sky or do i go to sky first order and then contact BT to terminate?

also i would like to keep the Number BT have given me is that still possible?
  • Get your MAC first, you can keep your number.

did you call them and did they try and keep with very good offers? ;)

unless they beat what sky are offering then i will leaving. so it will have to be 12 months free BB, Line rental at 15.40 and then anytime calls £5 so 20.40 or less. other wise i am jumping ship
  • They won't lower the LR, they didn't with me. The advisor I spoke to said she couldn't lower line rental and the rise to £16.99 would go ahead as planned. Basically all the savings come off the broadband cost.
  • And on further discussions it turns out BT haven't been billing me for Broadband for almost 9 months.

It's all my fault though, because I should have logged in and looked at my online bills... you know, the ones that say "This bill is for: Line Rental and Calls, Unlimited Broadband, BT Sport"... silly me for not noticing it.

I'd advise anyone who can move away from BT because of the price hike to do so. I'm staying because, either way, I'll have to pay this hefty bill whether I leave or not.
