SNP seem to have about 42,000 members
assuming the Scottish electorate is about 5 million that means that over 99% of Scottish voters aren't members of the SNP

I'm not a member of the SNP, but I voted for them at the last election

I just find it interesting how one single party has thrown the entire political system upside down.

All I'm hearing is a lot of noise. That may well disappear off the front pages if the Eurozone continues on in it's deflationary spiral.

Graham just likes a good bandwagon.
First he was sick of the scottish independance (sic) thing.

Then a poll giving 'Yes' a lead came along, so Graham decided to be sick of UK politics instead.

    Sounds like the usual muddle.

    How is it bizzare?

It's only bizzare if you believe that everyone who votes in an election is also a fully signed up member of the party they vote for.

I don't think for one minute you believe that.... so I'm curious as to why you think it's bizzare that someone would vote for a party without being a signed up member.

    as you asked the :

bizarre in the sense that such a proposition is so amasingly obvious, one wonders why any one would actually post such a statement.

however SNP groupies do seem to have many odd views and beliefs ....

It was in response to your post regarding 99% of Scottish voters not being members of the SNP.

So in context to the quoted post (yours), it wasn't at all bizzare.

I really don't see the need for all these rather silly points, which, when challenged are met with nothing but an insult (as thats all that's left to try and "make a point").

'bizarre' and not 'bizzare' as one dyslexic to another

Noting that 99% of voters in Scotland are not members of the SNP was relevant to the observation that the SNP has increased its membership.
The relevance is that party membership is very small for all parties these days and so a minor increase shows little about the political situation and nothing about voting intentions.

Well I'm a bit lost as to what your point is now. Though noticed you are picking up on spelling now.... Little point in that looking at your posts, and I'm not ciriticising. Afterall, I can hardly talk, but I don't go around picking others up on their spelling!

I think your point is to belittle the fact that they are now the 3rd largest UK party. Maybe you are trying to suggest it's an irrelevance? Am I right? As that, it seems, it what you have intended to do....allbeit via dubious methods.

Being a third largest party is meaningless as it says nothing about how many people will vote for their policies.

I was just being helpful with the spelling as I had already spelt it properly for you :
