Thank you for your advice. I didn't think that mattered as I would be able to appeal anyhow. I knew I was parking there so in the end its my fault I guess, I just thought I might be able to appeal in terms of predatory behaviour or signage...or something. It is unclear as the only sign I read was the brighton and hove council one and she saw me and said nothing..horrible people! I thought the new laws were meant to get rid of them, obviously not. not sure why I didn't come here first, I just thought my appeal would be tto the first one, lesson learnt I guess

By the way, what does this mean:
"the NTK was non compliant and would have won the case for you".
Thanks.0 -

You still have a chance, however, on signage. It is very important to see if the PPC signs are contractual or not.
Without going into minute detail, IPC PPCs try to claim that you have entered a contract by parking, as advised by the IPC. But many do not yet have the right wording on the signs to enforce that.
In these cases, they are subject to GPEOL (see Newbies sticky thread for terminology).
So, if you can get a picture of the relevant signs up here via tinypics, we may still be able to help with your appeal.0 -
The good news, is that even though you have blown many chances for appeal, you do still have a couple of points we can use once you get rejection.
And if that fails, I don't think Capital2Coast do court, so you will just have to ignore debt collectors letters for a year or so!Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0 -
Thank you for all of the advice, the sticky note is great, although my head is spinning. I do have the photo of the sign but don't know how to attach it or upload it here.0

you cannot do either
all you can do is host it on tinypic or photobucket and then copy and paste the weblink onto here, then change the http to hxxp before submitting the post0 -
