Do You Think The Comp Board Has Out Grown MSE?

Answer: only if the MSE servers aren't big enough to cope with the volume of comping traffic! ;) :rotfl:

I like it the way it is. I like that no single personality is bigger than the board (and that anyone who tries anything cute in that department is sharp shot down in flames!) and I would be very wary of an offshoot forum run by a regular from here. Been there, done that with offshoot fora and as I believe I've said before - it NEVER ends well!
I do agree that some of the more obscure and inexplicable rules need looking at and sometimes it does have the feel of a 15th century nunnery with the unwillingness to even examine change never mind adopt it but for the most part it's pretty damned ok with me. :)

Ooooh, I shall don my habit... I like a good 1400s nunnery, me... :rotfl:

I think you will find habits are worn by monks; nuns wear tunic and veils.
Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.

Willing acceptance - now, at this very moment - of what you can’t change

Are you sure? I always thought nuns wore habits, thought it was the outfit, including the veil... Goes to show how close to Godliness I am... :rotfl:

Nope, nuns wear habits as well. It's the name for the whole outfit - tunic, veil, wimple (or am I getting my mediaevals all mixed up?) Well, if they don't wear wimples they should do. Just because it sounds right.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

  • 'Wimple' is such a delightful word isn't it? :rotfl::rotfl: You just couldn't get mad at someone wearing a wimple!
