Something 'has' changed... They emailed me to tell me so. Its now platinum.
People on here are making a helluva lot of assumptions. I just want some facts from Thomsons!

It's no Platinum, it's Platinum Lifestyle so you may wish to get your products / brands / brochures correct before complaining too much to Thomsons.

  • More info to point out why it has probably changed, it's simply due to fancy furnishings and modern designs! The majority of a la carte customers would be over 50 years old and not all people of this age want edgy design, looks like the Platinum Lifestyle is trying to seduce a bit of a younger market (think honeymooners and high flyers) :

No, it hasn't , it's not 'platinum' (oh look another made up marketing category) until May. Did you stop to think that something might be happening in May, like buliding works, change or facility providers etc.,

You are adamant that something HAS changed, now, what is it then?

Thanks for all of your guesses.
    You're probably all spot on.
What an idiot I've been. I can't thank you all enough for the advice. I'll give up now and go hide in the corner.
Thank goodness I checked into this 'moneysaving' forum, I would hate to carry this on and get some 'actual' answers from Thomson & maybe £600 back.

I think we can be confident that you would not get £600 back.

    Why?
    Why can you be confident?
Lots of opinions on here.... None of which have been backed with a shred of evidence!
Having been told that rebranding is a 'common practice', no-one has came on with a similar experience, which why I came here.
I'm happy that people do not agree with me... Fine... But the amount of people spouting their opinions as fact is frightening.

Err...........sorry but eons ago in this thread I did say that we went to a hotel in January, then returned in July of the same year. The hotel went from a la carte to Couples. Still expensive, same hotel, only difference no taxi transfer on the second holiday.

I rather think you have had your fun with us now Mr/Msdleafy. Back to your troll hole.
