You don't always get morning sickness straight away. First time I didn't realise till I was 10 weeks gone, only started to feel tired, dizzy and slightly 'off-colour' a week or two before that, and then a week or two after, very polite morning sickness it was. Second time, I was vomiting before I was even due my period, and didn't stop till about 2 weeks after having him! So its not something you can rely on.
I know what you mean about being disappointed, but think of it this way, if you do a test and it is negative, your doctor would want to know about any unusual changes in your cycle. So quicker you find out, quicker things can happen, either a baby or making sure there can be a baby.
Good luck, I really hope its positive and goes well!0 -
i went and bought a test - did it and the line came up straight away - do you think its safe to celebrate or should i wait until the doctor confirms it?0

It's impossible not to jump up and down inside, but I liked to keep it to myself until I had confirmation.
You must be so thrilled!0 -

well you are definitely pregnant, congratulations, i say get to the docs and get him to confirm it. Again, congrats!0 -
many congratulations on your positive test. Most GP's will take your word for it if you've done one of the shop bought tests. He will just get you to book in with the midwife who will then organise scans, blood tests and any other appointments that might be needed.0
