Do you know whether you ovulated this month? Did you have any of the signs, or are you using a predictor test or anything? If you have ovulated and 16 days after ovulation you haven't had a period, then there is only one possible reason why.0

I was not expecting to be pregnant and then someone told me period pains are one of the signs so I got a test and guess what - I was pregnant, so please go and get one, I really hope you are, good luckx0

The only way to find out and put your mind at ease is to do a test.
I know it's hard, my husband and I have been trying for a baby for 9 months and nothing seems to be happening, but because of our ages the doctors won't do any tests.0 -
thanks for all the replies and the amazing support
the reason i dont think im pregannt is that i had a blood test at 21 days to check im still ovulating
surely that blood test would have shown that i was pregnant?
my bf is away but back monday so im trying to wait until then
i have no family up here so wont have the support i need if the answer is no
will keep you all informed

hello. well where do i start. i was on the pill.took it normal for the 3 weeks, had a period 31st may. had the normal 7 day break from pill was expecting period in june. never came. did 4 tests... all negative. went to docs he sent me for blood test and urine tests as they are more sensative to the shop bought ones.still negative. i'll just point out that as soon as i realised i was late i stopped taking the pill just incase i was PG. up to yet i am 4 weeks late, no sign of any period although i've experienced the following. Extremwmly sore boobs, dizziness, weight gain (gone up a dress size) nausea, tiredness, very bloated looking belly. I dont know what to think anymore, the doctor want to send me for a scan of me bits but next available appointment is 24th sept. i cant wait till then, its doing my head in
just want to point out again that i've already got 2 girls which is why i'm confused at lack of period etc0 -

But they wouldn't have been checking for the same hormones at Day 21 if they were checking for ovulation! They would be specifically testing to see if you had an LH surge at Day 21. Pregnancy tests detect pregnancy hormones which are totally different. In any case if you had only just ovulated at day 21, you would not have had any pregnancy hormone in your blood then, as the body only starts to produce this in detectable amounts when the egg implants which is usually at least a week after ovulation.
Whatever you decide please make sure that you test before going ahead with the fertility stuff. You'd think it would be standard to do a pg test just in case before fertility treatment but it isn't always and there have been cases if people starting fertility treatment while actually pregnant which doesn't do baby any good. The other thing to bear in mind if you are pregnant, is the sooner you test the sooner you can let clinic know, which will mean the sooner another infertile couple on the waiting list gets seen. Also the sooner you can start getting ante-natal treatment.
Good luck. I had loads of infertility treatment before conceiving but am now proud mum to two!0 -
the pregnancy hormone is HGC or HCG0

I got cramping and it's very hard to tell the difference. Taking a test month after month is horrible but it is the only way to know for sure. Good luck.
Totally love your user name by the way, MKF!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
