Evening everyone - the wanderer returns, for a little while at least. To be honest I have been too ashamed of being non-OS to show my face here for a while. I even have my eldest coming in and doing a full clean through for me once a week.

    .

Yay moggins - i was only asking after you the other week - don't be ashamed - working outside the home takes some getting used to but you will get back on track. In terms of the flylady I TRY to do levels one and two and then catch up at the weekend - if I can be a**ed. I love eating smelly, crunchy, crumby salt and vinegar crisps in bed - now what man is going to put up with that? (I will of course give up this disgusting habit just as soon as Pirate Johnny Depp comes-a-knocking)

DD and i are back on OS track and are celebrating by having a sort of casserole thingy made up of three sets of leftovers - gawd - she is waiting to get on the computer and is correcting all my mistakes - will come back later :)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Moggins,

Welcome back - I've not been posting either although I've been reading because I'm also ashamed to say I've hired a cleaner. since I was promoted I've been getting soooo tired.

Mind you she is so super efficient I'm almost scared, she even creases the toilet roll into a point after she's cleaned the bathroom!!!

I am tryng to keep up with cooking and eating healthily though.

Had a lovely day on Tuesday at ds' graduation, one very proud mum.

Welcome back Moggins, nice to see you:)

I've just been planning my day tomorrow -last day to myself until September 5th  Tesco, town for b'day card for Ds1(b'day on 28th, but no opportunity to buy it next week as he'll be home)and knickers for me:Dand library. Then butcher's and farmshop.

Ds1 finishes early and wants me to pick him up(first time I'll have done that since he started y7), so that's my afternoon gone

I might throw a movie night tomorrow evening to celebrate the end of term. I'll try and find a good family-friendly DVD at the library and make sloppy joes and popcorn and we'll eat in front of the telly -the kids'll love it.

OH has gone to the pub with his dad this evening, the kids have all gone to bed, I've got a bottle of pink wine. I'm off to watch the second half of The Two Towers with my wine, More With Less Cookbook and The Tightwad Gazette to keep me company :D

Hi everyone, a bit late today, seem to have been chasing my tail all day and achieved nothing apart from clearing the ironing. Dinner tonight was a brunch, grilled not fried (well dry fried eggs). Been helping DS with the re-do of the dissertation, playing wooden indian and devil's advocate (and living to tell the tale). DH had a good day in the garden we got a lovely warm sunny day until around 2 pm. Going to have to have a serious discussion, as he is 1) trying to organise me (not a chance)
    2) thinking he know how to organise everything (no way)
    3) deciding in what order we do things (back to front as usual!)
he see the things which annoy him and wants them doing first even if other things to allow them to be done need doing first!!!!!

Had a good day on ebay made £82.01 on two items, £30 already paid. Trying for a no-frost mat for the freezer in Spain within next 8 mins. - Didn't get it someone went above a buy-now-price!!!

Will try to get on earlier tomorrow, have a nice evening.

    Hi all

Very tired today and went back to bed this morning. Haven't done any gardening apart from buying plants for second border which hasn't been tackled yet but I have now planned it out. Just watered although rather cold and dreich up here today. Had to put heating on for an hour! Thank goodness no parties round here tonight!

Did Granny food shopping as two older DGS over tomorrow until Monday (not rubbish stuff I might add). Made up beds with their special duvet covers. Watched a bit of awful daytime tv but everytime I moved I took something to our recycling, bin or where it should go and put away. However, I also found there was a lost 45 minutes - a wee nod just came on! Also checked for boy hazards like meds, scissors etc and everything seems OK. Just have to put up the safety gate.

Found out today that a local clothes/furniture freecycle scheme has started and the Council has given premises adjacent to the recycling/skip units in the 4 main places here. Fantastic because there is still a huge suitcase of DS's clothes in loft which he left here and because of difficulty parking near charity shops had been putting this one off. He said get rid of everything so I can just take whole humungous suitcase in and leave it with then. There are two out of the 4 within 4 miles of me! And they can deal with the huge suitcase too which these days you could not take on an aircraft.

Anyway, do really hope you are OK. Sorry I haven't really read all you all. The usual group hug.

PS Thanks for the pms. I am fine really! Just had an e-mail from DH sending love from other side of the world. He doesn't know what I have been up to last couple of days - he was worried about my teeth and that now still has to come next month! He will be here for that one.

    Hi!

    Welcome back Moggins!

Had a busy day today and I'm shattered. I had to stay in as the boiler was getting service so I tackled my 'to do' list. On the list was:
    1. varnish back door (second time in 7 years) :o
    2. wash nets (not done for 12 months)
    3. clean inside of all windows (not done for 12 months)
    4. clean oven (can't remember last time it was done)
    5. sort out cupboard under sink (not done for 3 years)
    6. tidy up our small garden (last done 2 months ago)

plus the usual school run, making tea/packed lunches, bathing kids, uniforms etc
The girls break up early tomorrow and DH is also breaking up, but I won't see him before midnight and he'll have a hangover on saturday! :rotfl:
