    Good morning, everyone!

Scuzz, hope we see the *old you* back soon - you've been getting gradually more down recently :A

Heavenleigh - congratulations. Your family will come round, but if they don't and you're happy about the new baby, so what? As my dad used to say *every one is a blessing*.

DLB - well done in getting your finances sorted out :T

    And Big Hugs for Queenie.

Finished w*** yesterday, and am now off for 3 weeks :j :j :j I then have a couple of days at w*** (while the Small Penguins stay with their grandparents) then 3 weeks off with them. We're off to Devon on Saturday for a week (the Small Penguins are booked into *Surf School*) then a week in Cornwall - I've booked us tickets for the Eden Project. Can't wait - I really need a break, but have loads to do for the next 2 days. Washing is on the line, BM is on, now off to tidy the kitchen and start breakfasts.

Off to the pub for a meal with friends tonight, so must crack on.

Have a great day, Penny. x

Sat here having a cup of tea before I get ready ready for work  TD is on  Need to stick another load in the WM. My Panasonic breadmaker got delivered yesterday, unfortunately I wasn't in  But hubby is kindly going to go to work late this morning so he can pick it up from the sorting office :T I can't wait (is that wrong  ).

Egg mayo sandwiches for lunch, and chilli and cornbread for tea.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Special (((((hugs))))) to Scuzz and Queenie

BTW does anyone know when High School Musical 2 is going to be on the Disney channel? I want to plan a party for DD and her over excited mates :D
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Morning all

Sun's shining here too this morning - tomorrow is supposed to be horrendous though.

N9eav - Sounds like you had fun with the life boat crew, I must admit I'd like to go in the air sea rescue helicoptor that seems to be forever plucking someone off the cliffs round here lately.....quite amazing when you look out to sea and it just appears from under you up the cliff face.

Been having some hassle from a freecycle member, I'm the local group moderator and am getting quite hacked off with some of the requests, one member seems intent of furnishing their whole house for nothing, even trying to give specifics model/make types for electrical appliances......needless to say that when I sent a rather polite email reminding them of the whole freecycle ethos, I got a very abusive email back, then another, and another.....and so it goes on....why do some people have to try and abuse everything?

All my ebay items are being watched - normally a good sign, and my friend managed to sell 6 of my HM cards yesterday with 4 orders for next week so a few more quid in the kitty.

There's a large bootsale at the big park in town on Sunday so shall pop off to do that if the weathers nice, it's normally a good money maker.

Off to help a friend out today - she's a childminder and I'm going along to make up the adult numbers for a day out, will get paid for the privilage too so can't be bad.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Yey, I have a new purpose in life - I'm getting my friend out of debt! Says she's hopeless with money, so I'm going round on Friday armed with Martin's books and will give her a crash course in getting her finances back in shape:money:

Just explained PIN money to her and she's hooked on the idea now:T

    Good morning everybody :hello:

That party theme sounds brilliant Aime
I like the sound of your gym mioliere
Hope you have a good week in Devon/Cornwall PenPen - we are due to go in 2 weeks time so will be interested to see what the weather is like. I fancied going to visit the Eden Project too.
I would ban the freecycle member Pooky after all it sounds as if they go completely against the ethos of freecycle and you dont have to put up with abuse.

Didnt get to bed till late lastnight as we have found a venue for DD's leaving party so we didnt get back till late then had to print off some invites for her to take into school today. The party is going to be in a nightclub but it is really set out well. The adults can all go into the VIP room and the small bar will be open in there just for the adults. The kids can all go into the main club area for the disco and the bar in there only serves non alcoholic drink. We can set the buffet out in the reception area and there will be a doorman on the door so we have to give him a list of people invited and as the saying goes 'if your names not down, your not coming in' :rotfl:

The weather here doesnt look too promising so I will be covering my house in wet washing again.

Have a lovely day everybody and (((HUGS))) to those who want or need one :hello:

edited to add - come back Queenie you are missed

    morning all!

(((HUGS)))) to anyone who wants one!

Heavenleigh, has it sunk in yet?? Anddont' worry about your family; tell them you want to follow in the footsteps of the woman who has had 17 kids so far! (saw a tv show with them; the Duggars) that should shut 'em up!

Wish I had something exciting to tell you but I don't!

Watched Dr.Who and the genesis of the daleks last night; bought it for DH for his birthday. Some of the special effects were a little comical!

How do I put a pic up on here?? Would anyone like to see the cross stitch I'm working on?? Got quite a bit done yesterday and if I keep at it will probably finish it very soon. Trouble is, I keep changing my mind!

    Everyone have a good day!

    Morning all!

At w*rk at the moment. Set off in thick fog but it soon cleared as I drove north to Geordieland. Then heavy rain as I arrived - nice and typical July weather then.............. :rotfl:

At w*rk is the best time for me to catch up with you all, but I am off until next Tues, so might not be able to post until then. So to all of you about to embark on hols - have a fab time!:j

HUGE congrats to Heavenleigh. Children are a blessing and you sound like a lovely mum.

N9eav - my husbands dream job is keeping the lifeboat fettled and polished, so maybe you two should team up........... He is even looking at places to retire to near to the sea so that this could become more than a possibility...........

Queenie/Scuzz - :grouphug: Scuzz, Great to hear you have a new project with your friend!

Looking forward to more practise with the new (to me!) Kenwood Chef tonight. Will let you know how I get on............

    Enjoy your day

    Morning all :hello:

It's sunny here, which is just as well because I have 5 loads of washing to do  Master tru's girlfriend came round at teatime yesterday so he rushed in from work and tidied his room with lightning speed :D He does things like change his bed then throws the used sheets on the floor. Same with his clothes, then it all ends up kicked under the bed and desk and then he panics when there's no clean anything  So last night he filled the washing basket AND left a huge pile of clothes on the landing  It's all being washed with very slow spin so I don't have to iron any of it LOL.

We've been decorating our bedroom, finally the woodchip has gone :T We got rid of it from the kid's rooms not long after we moved here but we kept leaving ours and just painting it now and then, it's sooooo messy to remove but after nearly nine years we finally tackled it. We now have lovely flat walls and we're getting new skirting board today, master tru is putting that on for us after work and the new carpet is rolled up in the hall, ready to be fitted tomorrow :T

I gave my work keys to a friend on tuesday so he could get in the office and sort the computers out and what a shame, I haven't got round to picking them up off him so I can't get into the office today :D

Not much to do today apart from the washing and cleaning out the animals so I'll be on here a lot, in between recorded episodes of CSI :D

I've been to the eden project. It was quite overwhelming. You've seen so many plants that it's sensory overload time. Also it was really expensive and the food was as well.
The Lost Gardens of Heligon are supposed to be fantastic tho. Incredible story about them, too. A friend thought they were better than the Eden Project.

    Bore Da,
Last but one day today, it's like crawling over broken glass because I am so tired!
Couple of 'just left' pupils came in to see me yesterday as they had missed me at the prom, and showed me the photos: the transformation is heart wrenching!
They all look amazing, especially the girls in what we call 'Cinderella' dresses = dresses staff have 'found'/ made for them. So many of our pupils would not be able to go without Fairy Godmothers. The boys look like the young men they soon will be.
Off to Tesco tonight, armed with list from DD who has developed her own menu now she is home. As she is working as many hours as possible to fund her next instrument she can't fit in easily. It is lovely to have her home, especially as she makes the boys cake - she almost had a small business in her block of flats! Shall introduce her to the MSE biscuit range!
    Have a great day!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
