  • Morning all......(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Have been to see the vampire this morning, blood test for my cholestoral????spelling levels. I do not have to go to the lipid clinic just have a blood test once a year.

We are off to the lottie this morning for a couple of hours.

It took me 6 hours yesterday to relaod all the stuff back onto my computer, the bigger hard drive has loads of space on thank heavens. I was worried I would have lost my financial stuff, but thankfully my computer chappie was able to retrieve it and I have mnanaged to get my password stuff back as well.

Off for now, its quite a bright sunny warm morning, so nothing to sweat making at the lottie.

I had the confirmation of our holiday booking by email this morning....£139.50 for 10 nights....eurotunnel free thanks to tesco vouchers, so just spending money, hotels and fuel, might use some of my coupons to put the starter fuel in the car, once we get to France I will fill up at the supermarche.

    Bye for now..........................
September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.

    Tesco £57.13
    Petrol £10.00

Morning Chums ,good day yesterday I went to my grandsons leaving concert from his primary school. Not a dry eye in the house .The children were so good .I was looking at their young faces and thinking that probably in around 15 years they will be back with their little ones. DD took me to lunch with her youngest Mikey, and Mikey and I have long conversations about the merits of Shrek over The Wiggles (his favourite)We get on like a house on fire him and I .
I think he thinks I'm a slightly larger, wrinkly playmate for him to talk to and play with.!
Today I am going to get my hair trimmed ,quite short, so it won't come as too much of a shock when it starts to go when I start my chemo after my op. I am hoping it may grow back in curly as i have been plagued withstraight hair all my life .Fingers crossed.
This afternoon DD and I and our little pal Mikey are going to look for some fancy-dress outfits .DD's eldest daughter has a party to go to in a couple of weeks time so she wants something unusual to wear. I am keeping busy all the time and have written out long lists of things that must be done over the next few weeks .I hope every one has a good day ,the sun is trying to shine here in North kent and I have a line of washing ready to go out already. <<<Hugs>>> to all in need and a big smiley face for the rest of you.

Woke up this morning and shock horror it wasnt spitting:j in fact its lovely blue sky with just a couple of little whispy white clouds (which will probably dump the equivalent of the Atlantic Ocean on my washing when Im not looking later:rolleyes: :D )

Today is my most dreaded day of the quarter - its VAT day and as usual I have the whole 3 months to complete (when will I learn:rolleyes: ) It has to be in the post today so that gives me a focus but I know I will also find some very interesting distractions (like MSE) as the day goes on.

I have a Next sale VIP slot today- first time I have ever had one but apparently most things are already sold out so thats a bit depressing but I will have a go - I guess I dont really "need" anything but theres a couple of nice things on my list so fingers crossed.

anyway best get back to funding the wonderful HM customs and excise i guess

I've been to the eden project. It was quite overwhelming. You've seen so many plants that it's sensory overload time. Also it was really expensive and the food was as well.
The Lost Gardens of Heligon are supposed to be fantastic tho. Incredible story about them, too. A friend thought they were better than the Eden Project.

    Morning everyone

I did Heligan a few years ago and loved it, as this was pre-Eden, I didn't get a chance to go to Eden until February this year, when I went with OH for Valentines.

We did Heligan on Sunday as it was dry that day and Eden on Monday as it was rainy.

Eden was impressive, but I still prefer Heligan - it just gets better and better. I think there is also an element of romanticism (the sleeping garden) but I love the place. My OH was also impressed. I was bought the video and book of the story a few years ago so we watched this first which gave him the background to the place.

Well, OH was packed off to work this morning with home made minestrone soup and fruit salad for lunch.

I think I will make paella for tonight as I have some frozen seafood salad.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

yup, I've ogt to go to Heligan next time!! (thanks for the correct spelling!)

Well, i've booked an appointment for a BUPA consult - we'll see what he says next wed. Hope I get the GP letter in time!

Also going ot talk to next door about the 2 trees that we'd like cut down; they're on their side of the fence but less than 2M from our house. We're hoping htey may pay half. The quote was £236 +VAT. (£277) And we're getting the leylandii cut down at the same time, another £425 or so. (yay!)

NExt cost for us will be either getting my foot sorted or some storage for the house -wardrobes are desperately needed! And we'd get 1 set built in and then some antiques.

    Morning everyone!

I've decided to rise against the 'teacher haters' and ignore them! Thanks for all the support that everyone has given, you're all so lovely on the daily thread :)

This morning I'll be doing a few houseworky bits and then I'm taking OH out for a carvery lunch! I got some tax back and thought that I'd treat us to lunch out as well as my usual pay off more debt this month plan that I'd decided on. When we get back it'll be myself and OH working on the spare room (of doom) and I'll have to decide on what we will be having for dinner.

Our food delivery will be coming between 11 and 12, so I'll jump into the bath and stick the kettle on, then when OH finally awakens he can have the bath water and I'll have a whip round with the hoover (and crash out after, as I find hoovering exhausting!!).

Miolere- Yes Fibromyalgia can be such a debilitating condition. I was bed-bound for over a month last year, which led me to my being diagnosed. Luckily I've managed to find a way to manage my life as such where I'll be going back to teaching full time in September. OH has been such a star with me, I've been a right pain! I'm making the most of being well now, as who knows what the future will bring!

I'm only 24 now and I do worry about whether it'll come back and get me when I'm older, but I think I'm prepared now (as much as I can be anyway). I think that getting my thyroid problem treated will help ease some of my symptoms too and after researching it seems as though about 15% of people with Fibromyalgia also have endocrinal problems. The FDA in the USA have just approved a medication called 'Lyrica' for Fibromyalgia-I'm on the earlier version of this and really hope that it helps me!

Amie- That party idea for your daughter sounds fabulous! I hope that she has a great time planning and holding it, as I'm sure you will too.

Have a great day everyone and am sending loads of hugs the way of anyone who needs/wants them x

Sharon59- I'm sorry you're going through a flare up at the moment, I hate those things! I'm worried I'll push myself into one again soon, so am trying to pace myself at the moment after Mondays disaster! I thought I'd be fine walking into town (about 5 mins walk) and having a nose in the shops with OH, but when we came back I slept the rest of the afternoon, eek!
