Just a heads up about mail strikes.

In addition to the official action, some mail centres in Scotland walked out on unofficial action last night. Newcastle has walked out this morning. Expect delays on your ebay packages, especially if they are travelling through the north of the UK.

I don't think there will be a delivery for some people today, I spoke to my postie yesterday and he said that there will be limited deliveries today mainly Special Delivery items will be posted.

Royal Mail are NOT delivering Special Delivery today at all!!!
  • Regarding the dispruption to business caused by Royal Mail dispute/ and MONEY SAVING .... EVERYONE who posted special deliveries on Mon/Tues...check if item was received within the guaranteed period. If not, CLAIM the postage back. OK, so the consequences of not receiving the item may be greater than the £4.50+ you'll receive for each package, but if we ALL do it, they will maybe think twice next time!!

They don't have my support, for their argument my business suffers. Thanks. I think they'll lose a lot of business if anyone else comes wlong offering the same business. Then they'll all be moaning about losing their jobs

MrB we still have mouths to feed and your wage is greater then my husbands but he isn't on strike. That's life - if you want better pay and conditions get another job. A job is a job at the end of the day, if you don't like it then go and get another, the same many of us have done in that situation, I have.

My posties delivers my mail at 2pm most days unless we have a releif postie on. And he wants more money? I don't think he deserves it. Do you really think your union leader gives a toss? He is still getting paid isn't he. I wonder how much more he is on - 50k plus?
  • i talk to my postie and hes on a good wage, xmas bonus, loads of hols and he lives 2 streets away from his beat.most people i know would kill for his job,me included.
mrb.....remember the miners and their strike.....
lots of people are after your jobs so be warned....
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)
