Hm, if you can shift any of your debt to 0.00% I would suggest doing it but these deals sound suspect 'up to' 36 months 0.00%.... Any way you can call their sales team for a chat before you apply?

Seriously, 0.00% will be a lifesaver and help you stick to your plan without accruing extra interest!

Research the companies/cards as much as you can before applying as that'll appear on your credit rating.

Let me know how it goes?

when I get some downtime I'll sit down and really look at these, they're all basically Virgin I've heard but these are for poorer credit scorers, but the deals appear really good on them its just of course dependant on how much they will give.
if they don't give very much, id cancel within the cooling off, because its just not worth risking having another card again.

will probably post in the forum about it soon, and even so i may just wait until this capone is completely paid off which will be pretty soon.

did a bunch of sorting tonight to see whats available to eBay, try and get some money coming in to see me through, right now its not looking too pretty.

but i should see £60 come in for something around the same weekend i get paid, so I'm kinda thinking if i go £60 over i can put it straight back without affecting next months pay cheque.

i still need to sort the money from health insurance, again when i get some downtime will get onto them. got a bunch of todos on my phone which i just work away at whenever i get a chance :o

just too busy beginning to enjoy life for once! so my spending has increased a bit, i can curve it back though just gotta not lose thought of the end goals here :A

I may consider looking at the credit card shuffle. Have some worries about applying for a new card, could easily be a rejection and ruin a chance at getting a decent card in the mid term.

After all I have a capone card thats about to increase to £1750, and soon will have nothing on it. I may be able to call them and haggle for a 0% BT deal without horrific APR. Considering I do have one card as low as 21.9% it should give me wiggle room to use.

of course if I am to shift debts around again even at a better deal, I dont want interest to accrue on a 0% at all ever again, so I would definitely want to have it paid off by the end of the 0% deal. and with a lets say £1600 limit.. it would need to be at least a 16 month deal, at the very least.

should be able to look at capone offers online tonight when i have my card with me and will have an idea of where to go..

I ran an eligibility check on the mbna and fluid websites, they appear to have soft search checks now too - CC's are changing!

they both offer the same card, being the same company - both saying i will be eligible for a card that is:
up to 14 months 0% balance transfers
    2.99% fee
    23.9% p.a. variable based on £1200

no idea of what amount i could get. usually expect them to be at least £1000.
think ill apply, potentially end up with two cards with 0 on them yet which might allow me to shuffle things around cleverly to remove a bunch of interest.

ok so right now im thinking that when i get home, ill check what balance transfer offers im likely to get on the CapOne - see how that is. but the limit is similar to halifax card, which makes those both a potential shuffle.
then will consider applying for mbna card, who knows i could get enough on it to be able to 0% my barclaycard debt.

then i could end up with two cards, on 0% deals. will update later..

No BT offers on capone card, definitely needs to be paid and cancelled.

I just applied via MBNA, and this message:

"Your application has been approved and your credit limit will be £2,600."

I'm not going to get hopes up just yet, because I've heard they can ring you after this and say sorry we double checked and you are not suitable.

But hey, assuming they give me this. I will be able to transfer my entire barclaycard onto a 0% for 20 months (uncertain whether I'm getting the full 20 month yet though), and close down the barclaycard = no more interest!

    Heres hoping!

Still on with this barclays complaint. Heard absolutely nothing from them other than a couple SMS saying "We will be in touch soon about your complaint", I escalated to ombudsman two months ago and notified them again the other day to say nothing has happened and now they want me to fill out another form!

I'm not messing around though just completing it on my computer and sending straight back over email, makes me laugh how they try to get you to post things just to slow you down. Sent along with it my original complaint form just incase they are gonna try postponing even more!

Excellent news about the 0.00%!! Got everything crossed for you that this all gets sorted - would be fantastic to get rid of that high interest rate, could let you pay off your debts and find your feet again.

Stick with that Barclays complaint, you could get a sweet compensation packet out of it!

You're really on the right track by the sounds of it, so pleased for you!

Its crazy isnt it! I took a risk by applying but the MSE calculator was right about my approval it seems, although Im getting a length and limit relevant to me. Credits rebuilding, and will rebuild even better from now on.

Yes I'm hoping for a reply today cause I'm getting annoyed with Ombudsman for passing me around now, its been months and months - they just need to step in already.

I'm on track just about, I'm very poor right now :o and had to change the direct debit for my capital one card because I just cant afford it :( ive spent way too much, ive met new people (and a girl :T) and stuff so im kind of making the effort to be sociable more - which in central london costs a bit :p

hoping ill be able to force vitality to give me that health fund money, sent them an angry email this morning, that'll be £75 very much needed. got a few things on ebay one thing which only cost me £30 and is already hit £20 with ages left to go..

theres also this ticket which cost me £60 ages ago and i cant use it, sadly/funnily enough it will end on my payday weekend because that will be the best time to end it for max profit, hopefully i get my money back but i had to do this last year and got a cheeky profit so heres hoping and means any card spends should be swiftly put back with this one thing :T

just going to work on bringing the money IN rather than spending as best i can. good news im pretty much past all the big direct debits for the month so just need to be careful, i might have to spend on one of my cards to tide me over though but will be quickly put back.

capone will be paid off soon, then 0% 20 month on about 2.3k, close the barclaycard, then leaves me with halifax which i bet it wont be before long i can get that on a 0% too! because ill be making substantial overpayment to the MBNA and still slightly overpaying on the halifax which keeps me in decent stead.
