Glad your appointment went well, when is the next one? Definitely sounds worth it, tbh your health is important and it'll give you a better quality of life so a great investment.
I'm skint as well, have £15 till the 25th... 7 days, I can do this!
haha cheers. assuming they are going to reimburse it! usually not a problem, they dont say anything and a little while later i find a cheque in the post.
so next one will be next tuesday, trying to do one every 2 weeks. Which with my plan works out at roundabout two sessions (£160) every calendar month. yeah i think a lot of my stresses find their way into my body, i represent them physically so ive got these terrible movement patterns which just cause me to tighten up all over the place and ends up in pain.
i felt the first session worked very nicely, but looking forward to the next as the effects are wearing off slightly.
yikes, tht doesnt sound all that possible to me (the way i can spend..) so maybe lending a few bob from someone just incase. whenever im very close to or at my limit it really stresses me out instantly, having a buffer sorts it0 -
>12 Monthswednesday! bring on the weekend, and payday tomorrow.
works dead so rang up the phone company and ive just jumped onto a 30-day rolling contract for 6GB (+unlim) @ 26.99.
It's not the best deal, I am planning still to move onto the BT contract which is 20GB@£25 but its only a fixed 12 month contract. I want to wait until the new iphone comes out, you know me and my gadgets.. and I'll see what I want to do at that point.
I dont plan on getting locked in a crappy contract for another 2 years though. Only if say I sold my current iphone (which is worth a lot) and paid it straight onto the contract, or use the cash leverage to get a better deal.
Best option would be using old iphone money for new iphone and just put towards it.
BUT I PROMISE i wont do this rashly. if its going to hurt me financially, its not gonna happen. Im doing so well. my capone card balance is £195! its essentially two more hefty payments and its over with!
I might jump on that ebay and try and speed it up!
going to ring the home insurance again today cause im gonna make absolute certain that they are closing my account. ive read that they will auto renew and ive already sent an email and spoke to someone on the phone but she kept saying "its not up for renewal yet" and i bet they have a clause which you have to ring in the "renewal" period to then cancel the renewal entirely. they're always sneaky and im not getting stuck in another year.
the less direct debits the better.0 -
>12 Monthsactually just checked the online account and it says i have no registered policies for insurance, good. will ring just to be extra nerdy and check.
changed the direct debit on my bcard to £60, it brings it just above the minimum and to a fixed amount i can work with in my planning.
time for another snowball i think just to see where we are at..0 -
>12 Monthsalrighty then, snowball time.. its working off fixed minimum amounts now so bcard is £60 (just above min) and halifax is £50 (just above min):
Ive actually changed the capone direct debit to nearer £100 to ensure it just gets paid off in two more payments. Rather than having one final one for £18 or whatever.
After that.. its gonna be straight sailing £150 to Bcard, and £50 to halifax card every month for about 20 months. Then all payments onto halifax card. Of course hoping that chunks of money come in now and then to pay towards them so its quicker, and hey maybe some pay rises over that time so my monthly amount to pay towards them will increase. Currently a £200 every month towards debt is doable.0 -
YES! This is such great progress and it's really simplified everything. That big chunk you got seems to have just spurred on a great change.
I'm sure you will get a pay-rise, do you have an annual appraisal or review? When would that be?Do you get bonuses too?

yeah its what i needed, just a chunk to get me going because otherwise it felt like im just feeding interest purely. maybe i was wrong and just needed to look closer at the numbers and how to snowball, but in any case we're in the momentum, and one card less to think about will be a great release of pressures im sure.
hopefully wont be too long and can start looking at balance transfer deals available to me, that should help speed things up, along with any bulk of money coming in.
funnily enough the appraisal forms were sent out to us this week, to be done by end of sept. ill probably get a rise, i would imagine, of how much i do not know - the first time i will have ever been considered for payrsies properly.
then i guess/think it comes into effect for the new year at this company.
we get a christmas bonus, last year it was very little to me as ofcourse its based off the year (i had only been here a few months by then) and your salary etc.
'course i dont really want to even be here, but that christmas bonus might be just worth waiting around for.. gonna try dig up details of them to try work it out0 -
>12 Monthsfound the details quick, last year it was a fixed 500 quid, based on your pro-rata. and gets paid in december. so i should see every penny of it if i wait around.
course just depends if i find a new job with a much better pay then i would let go of the bonus and move, money over longer period is worth more than one chunk0 -
Yeah, I’m now in the mindset that if I get a new job I’ll have to seriously consider losing out on my bonus, I worked it out and last year I got 7.00% of my salary in a bonus, if they repeated that this year I’d get £1645 but I pay tax on it and it means I'm heavily taxed in December's pay packet causing January to be difficult as I pay my whole net bonus off of debt, it's a really long pay month too so swings and roundabouts. However there’s nothing in my contract/no experience to go on as they gave me a £1500 bonus after 5 months of working here last year. Very conflicted about it!
If you can, stick it out and pocket your bonus, that’ll also give you time to see if you’re going to get a satisfactory pay-rise or not. Are there many jobs in your field to apply for or is it a job where it’ll take a while to find the right one? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. >12 Monthspayday! phew, I had less than £1 in my account ha! all good though.
today I'm giving this Amazon Prime Now a go! they have a discount code LONDONNOW to get people to start using it you get £20 off spending over £50! that is a great saving and I really wanted a new headset, got something else with it too and so instead of nearly £60 its only £38 spent
heres to a good weekend ahead hopefully!0 -
Important to treat yourself to something small every payday!
I'm buying 2 chairs from IKEA for £28 on my payday this month! Only 5 days left to go for me!
