Nice one on the blues festival!! My boyfriend LOVES blues, where was it if you don't mind me asking?

Wahey on the free fruit, wish my work would get on board with that, I'm still trying to pin them down on a cycle to work scheme so I can sell my old bike frame and buy a new lightweight bike. I'd love to cycle more!

Well done on your legs growing :'D

No worries, if you ever need stealthy tupperware cleansing advice you know where I am. :rotfl:

It was in Ealing. Ealing Blues Festival. There's another this weekend but for Jazz.

Ahh yeah we have the scheme thats how I got mine. and is how the leg growth is happening hahah
still getting used to the biking though i have on and off days no where near as strong as i used to be with it.

went to sainsburys at lunch for the £3 meal deal, and if you make a good choice you can get a healthy option. I'm going to continue going there and as you said maybe on a friday 'splash out' on a £5 lunch :P I'm going to change my budget sheet to reflect this as i think ill happily switch back onto the £3 per day, i sort of fell slowly into paying £5 a meal per day somehow.

£3*5daysperweek*52weeksoftheyear/12monthsof the year = average £65 per month on work lunches

just starting making a huge spag bol pot for my tea tonight and the rest will be for future bologneses or chilli dishes. one of my good moneysavers is a huge pot of spag bol and I'm so good at them!

made a few purchases recently like amazon and asos, returned one asos item today and another one tomorrow and another amazon parcel to go (can't fit them all in my bag pack to take to a collect+ shop) i got a fair few socks cause i needed some of all types they're so easy to go through when you're a fella, of course on the sale. and i got some £3.50 sunglasses in the sale too and they look DAPPER on me couldn't believe my luck. tried out some new earphones with the amazon purchase but they hurt my ears so back they go.

beauty of the internet and the mandatory 14 days no questions asked money back guarantee.

backs really achey today so gonna have a good workout at home and then do some stretches, want to get a new routine started and start building up my strength and flexibility

i was so close to just getting a mcdonalds tonight i felt so mehhh on way home. but i didn't. when your healthy AND money saving its kind of like two of your values you're going against haha. i prefer the days when i would only ever have a treat on a friday and i enjoyed it massively (KFC of course) but in recent times id binge takeaways 2-3 times a week some weeks! spoils the fun of it.

Completely get what you mean here! I went through a stint of buying pizza all the time and then it didn't feel special!

P.S I lol'd at the thought of you trying on your new sunglasses and yelling at yourself in the mirror 'YOU LOOK DAPPER!' Woop for bargains!

yeahh pizza should be special because when its done right its so awesome. specially now for me cancelling out the bread from my diet.

hahah it wasnt far off that i was like hell yes ive hit gold here.

was annoying at myself this morning, made my bolognese last night and had two big portions in tupperware for leftovers and i leave them on the side to cool for a little while before fridge or freezer, and i forgot to go put them in fridge or freezer last night. so thats potentially a ruined bolognese left out over night :/

i put them in fridge this morning to think about it but the tupperware boxes were left slightly open to let them cool down so in my head its like ughh 8 hours or more of germs getting in my food. doubt im gonna use them.. annoying.

in better news just had a quick look at my capitalone balance and it now says £275

it also says a min payment is due by 11th August, i forget that the min payment still stays with overpayments. but it means that as normal ill pay a bit more off. i think ill see if i can change the direct debit to the £97.25 or so that i planned to start in august, i should be fine for money this month and it means i'll get a headstart on getting rid of the capone altogether! thus ending with a final payment in september instead!

    keep focus we got this.

ok updated capone direct debit to £91.67, this should be ready for early august payment coming out of my july pay cheque. that'll mean its 3 payments in total to go and the last one will be in early October from september pay cheque.

ive changed the halifax debit to a fixed £50 too. this is just over the minimum, and just allows my snowball calculation to make more sense.

come my october paycheque i will then start paying a fixed £150 per month to my barclaycard. so it will be 150 to bcard and 50 to halifax per month. i rounded off to 200 in total to pay to my debts per month for now having made some adjustments to my budgets. and i think come closer to/after christmas i will have a clearer indication of perhaps an even greater amount i can send to my debts per month.
then ofcourse i hope to find some extra chunks of cash here and there to throw at debts.

edit: and potentially do new balance transfers when my credit rebuilds to remove interests but of course will only do so with a thorough plan

How are your legs Mr J!?

they're wiped out :( i dont feel well today, i think its probably just exhaustion from the cycling and ive been eating very clean in a caloric deficit, so I dont perhaps have the energy i need to repair quick enough.
going to get bus tomorrow to work and give myself a 3 day break from the cycling but still do a couple workouts like tonight and saturday.

Don't push yourself too much, when I was on the skinnier side (7 stone... can't even believe I let myself get that thin) I was exhausted and continued to push myself and ended up in hospital!

I know you've given up bread, are you replacing the carb calories with wholemeal/corn pastas etc? Polenta is pretty good too for upping calories in meals! Don't go too overboard!
