My kindle arrived today :) looking forward to using it to read my way into sleep!

cycled into work again today, my butt hurts, saving me money each day i do so. ive ordered a seat cover off amazon cause my butt really hurts haha im not used to these road bike seats yet. ive also ordered a bluetooth headset. my iphone headset is a bit broken and turns on and off music etc, and with cycling i often need google maps on to direct me.
i spent £25 and thats with £5 off with a amazon voucher i had.

but hey if i bike everyday im saving £65 a month on travel! i just have to bike to/from work for 8-10 days and i will have covered the spend :P

stupid home insurance came out today, but is the final payment. hopefully my next insurance covering a few things wont lock into a year, i hate lockins!

WOOHOO To the E-On debt, one less thing looming over you and that one had been weighing you down so onwards and upwards.

When looking for home insurance definitely check cashback sites, I got a cashback deal for comparethemeerkat.. which was £42, I bought my AA Home Insurance using it that cost me £38 for the year and I got a meerkat that I sold on eBay for profit, I made money out of my insurance!!

Well done with cycling, stick with it, you'll have more disposable income to chuck at debt!

Cashback sites, got it. I will do this for some gadget cover. You have your own place so its different but i just rent a room, I just need to cover my electronics that are expensive mostly. So surely I can get a better deal for the next year ahead.

That breakdown cover is excellent too for you!

I just worked out how to find the kindle email address >:) going to find me some pdfs to send to myself today! if you have good ones sauce i might have to give you my kindle email so you can send them to me too :P

Boom before I could get round to ringing HMRC the tax rebate has come into my account looks like it should clear by tomorrow!

I think I've changed my mind a tad on what Im gonna do with this chunk, I think I'll pay it off the capitalone card. Because it will mean that I can get rid of it by the end of this year definitely. Then I will only have two cards. PLUS it does have the highest interest rate.

If I get another chunk come in e.g. from my barclays complaint and/or laptop sale then i can decide from there what to do but as it stands i have 600 to throw at a card so i think i should consider what i can do right now.

for example, when i put this money onto my Capitalone, future payments could look something like this (on a £200 at least to credit card debts per month):

    (from using http://whatsthecost.com)

i would of course hope to bring it down with lump sums here and there.

    thoughts?

    Yeah! :D

Just rang Halifax, they confirmed that if I agree to 'close' the account i.e. will no longer be able to use the card then they will keep the interest rate at 21.95% instead of going up to 23.95%.
I said excellent yes do it because I haven't used it in ages and do not plan to!

^ Great thing about it, it literally stops me from being able to use it! No temptations! Now its just a debt I need to repay. :)

really on top form recently, paperwork all sorted and on top of everything. on phone call to barclays as they sent me a new card and i have no idea why/no reason to it.

this weeks going good man, eon debt paid finally, a huge chunk to go off my capital one card tomorrow. crazy town!

so barclays could detect that there was issues with my chip on my current card, I've had problems in the past but not that frequently to be worried about and they sent a new one so thats all fine start using that one instead. hate remembering new card numbers though (i like to memorise them!)

hot tip use https://www.gethuman.com together with WeQ4U to get practically free calls with no long waiting charges! i apparently saved £3.28 on that call to barclays alone!!

finally showing on electoral roll for my current address on noddle. took aaaages to get that sorted, but is done now nonetheless.

credit is hovering between Very Poor & Poor :P but hopefully we are at the start of a big change to that. money from tax rebate hasn't quite cleared yet, maybe by end of today its only early still.

as soon as it does its going STRAIGHT onto the capital one!! woop
