Yeah, just gotta get that letter posted out now will do it when I leave work. Also got an item to return to amazon.
But on my lunch managed to drop off a myhermes package to send that DIY kit I sold. Will actually end up with £16 from the sale of it, better than I thought.
Last night listed a pair of shoes I have onto eBay. But them as a BIN, but think I'll just do a send to auction as I just want rid of them, they're really white shoes and a few wears has ruined the colour so not like im gonna get all my money back anyway..

Sorted out some work expenses, should get that back soon.

Got that time off for my birthday coming up soon, really want to plan something decent. I've just had rubbish birthdays for years, no one plans anything for me so I might just be selfish and plan something cool myself.

I'm currently seeing a mental health person due to suffering from anxiety/depression etc and she went through some problem solving things with me last week where she showed how I can list my problem (my debt), and then all the ways of fixing it, and then rate each possible fix. The best fix came in the form of loaning the money to pay the debt from family. I totally understood her showing this to me clearly. As I rated each fix myself and yet I dont want to have to ask for more money just to fix my problem.
I'll be thinking on it, though. I'd like to try and pay off this big chunk as I have planned to do, and then from that point I will at least have confidence in myself to say "hey, Ive just paid off a huge chunk I am ready to pay it off, but its just the interest thats demolishing my chances of doing so". We'll see.

Gonna look at getting some stuff in an asos sale, I need shoes and maybe some cheap sunglasses. Want to start feeling proud in my appearance again which my mental state has kind of demolished.

    Onwards and upwards.

Oh man, sorry to hear you're feeling like this, i've been severely depressed in the past and it's good to hear you're seeing someone and I know nothing I say can help but you're seriously doing the right thing.

If it's an option for a family member to consolidate to your debt then you'd probably be a lot better off, no more interest and you can allocate one monthly repayment to it, you've just got to make sure you don't build up another debt - it really sucks and I completely empathise with you how financial strain can add to any anxiety you may have, I know it really has for me and I've found this year a horrible struggle, especially in this area where so many people are out drinking and have loads of fun and I'm in my flat calculating how much I have for a food bill. ]

Well done on getting that letter sorted, very exciting that you'll have a chunk of funds coming your way, plus the extra money from the DIY kit is great, you're on the right track.

Totally get what you mean about your appearance, I cannot afford clothes and put myself on a makeup spending ban and for a while completely lost touch with being proud of my appearance, I had a big haircut which was great (cut 9 inches off my scraggly hair) and started wearing makeup again and thinking a bit more about my smaller wardrobe and now I feel a lot better again, plus I'm back at the gym. I definitely recommend pounding the streets when you feel a bit poop.

    Hope you're alright xx

I'm in a fairly good place this week, positive and all. End of last week/weekend was a different matter. But new week new start kind of thing. I have begun meditating, and plan to get myself to social group events OFTEN to improve fit levels and just generally meeting people really helps me. I spend too much time alone. So no worries sauce I'm doing alright thanks :)

It could be an option, I just don't know if I want to do that yet. In my family its just about the only thing we seem to do, borrow money from other people and I really don't like to have the same 'trait' in me. Yeah I've had some mad ups and downs because of my finances, but I'm learning to come to terms with them and I think the important part is not letting it feel overwhelming.. have a plan, stick to it, and forget about worrying about it. Ah yes calculating like that is very heavy, for the most part I haven't had to be so strict but mostly because of living beyond my means!

Yess a tax rebate chunk, boom straight off debt. Not a huge interest in my laptop yet, but hopefully will be able to sell it sometime soon. Yeah I've just thrown the money for the sale of a game onto the Bcard, and the DIY kit sale will go there too.
In honesty it feels a lot like a waste throwing money to it because it just eats it up. But I need to realise the only way to help it is to do exactly that.

Makeup is expensive stuff so I understand the ban ^_^' but y'know theres lots of offers in places like boots etc eh just gotta look out for them. Feeling proud of your appearance goes a long way I think, I just obviously don't want to be living out of my means to maintain that.

I had my monthly haircut today, £26. Its cheap compared to ones I used to go for, and its actually the best cuts I've had.
DIY kit + amazon return sent off. Not sure if I said.

OH and I rang up Eon earlier as I know I was coming towards the end of paying off an Eon energy bill from OVER A YEAR AGO. They said I had broke my agreement with them for a late payment, I think I paid one late last month or the one before just through forgetting. But The total balance was at £58 ish and I said I'll pay the usual amount today, then it will be fully paid by 20th July (next payday). So as good will gesture they put me into another new final agreement to pay it off by 20th July and won't start sending me debt chasing letters which they were about to apparently. Danger averted.

    Time for meditation before bed.

    Hi MrJester

Sorry to intrude on your thread but just thought I'd pop on with some information that I hope helps a little.

Re-setting the arrangement will stop debt follow up although there may be something in the pipeline that's too late to cancel. If this is the case, please ignore it. Just to let you know, a missed or late payment automatically causes payment arrangements to fail. Now it's been reset, though, all should be fine.

Hope this is of interest MrJester.

Cheers Malc, yes it's been resolved now so shouldn't be a further issue. Will do a final check on that when I call to pay the final bill.

Any updates on anything :)? Well done for calling E.On and getting stuff sorted, I sometimes find these things can seem a mountain when they're really a molehill.

You're right, the only way to tackle your debt is to start chucking money at your credit cards... I'd seriously consider asking to borrow some money to consolidate your payments and halt interest. You just have to be able to trust yourself not to get another credit card and build up debt again in the mean time

Hey. Yeah real glad about that, get it paid off next pay day which will be great. One debt soon to be down. haha yes definitely, often put these things off or to back of the mind and soon as you sort it, it always seems so simple.

Rent paid. Final payment to virgin active paid then ill just see what I want to do about gym facilities from there. Really wanted some ray bans but couldn't bear to spend the dosh on them, lucky enough popped in an urban outfitters and got some lookalikes for £18. Probably £60 saved there ha.
Had a few drinks last night with a friend so cheeky £20 spent. But looking at bank I have around £320 up until the 20th. My birthday comes into that though and i want to be able to do something decent so gonna try be a skint flint until my bday which will be close to payday anyhow.

Got a whole £14 in my blue rewards now, don't know if you've heard of it but you pay £3 a month and get £7 back, so two months in row so far and got £14. I think its pretty neat really, its an actually good reward of free money and I'll just leave it there until its a substantial amount or something, kind of a mini savings going on.

Bcard is currently at £2307 cause the bill came out, then i put that game money sale on stand should be another £16 coming in to go onto it also.

ITS SO HOT TODAY I'm typing this and my fingers are sweating, like what is going on are we about to hit an apocalypse it doesn't feel right!? :o:p

I know, my offices are air-conditioned which is a first.. but I got in my car last night and burned my leg on my black leather seats, got a huge red mark on the back of my thigh now! Insane, it was 47 in my car when I got in it!! Soon cooled down after I opened the windows thank goodness.

Not sleeping well at all in this heat and my pet hamster is poorly from it!

Well done, it'll be over soon enough and you can save money rather than use it to pay back debt.

Any ideas for your birthday yet?!

burned your leg! madness, might be worth getting some sort of cheap o cover or at least cover some the seats with a blanket if they're gonna keep turning into frying pans :P

i must have got like 5 hours of sleep last night, sun was so bright in the morning couldn't get back to sleep past 5, crazy. much cooler tonight though so hopefully do some catching up, and hey its friday this week has gone by quick! happy with that.

got a reply from ombudsman about this barclays complaint I've made, just printed all the papers off and filled them in, then tomorrow at work ill scan them in (one of those quick scanners, it would take ages on mine doing them one by one).. then send those off to ombudsman i have an email address for them which should hopefully mean i don't have to bother with posting.
I've requested all original feeds paid for a packaged bank account that was mis sold to me, plus the interest on each year it hasn't been paid back to me. we'll see how it goes.

£16.32 just came in from DIY sale. and that is going straight onto the Bcard, you are keeping me motivated to keep on doing this sauce. I'm just going to intake the cost of postage as a necessary cost and put the full money income onto the card(s).

no idea for birthday yet :( I've been meaning to sit and think on it but haven't yet, by end of this weekend want to try and plan SOMETHING. its a fairly reasonable milestone kind of birthday after all..
thing is i don't think i want to just waste the entire time i have off by going back to home-home because i don't even have a bed there anymore (blow up mattress!) and its much more fun in london :S but i don't know many people in london so don't have many peeps to do stuff with.
anyway ill think all this out come end of weekend hopefully ha

had a call about laptop for sale, was offering 1550 but i said definitely not i know whats its worth I've lowered to 1850 already and is as low as i want to go, just going to have to be patient a little longer..

hopefully letter from hmrc with a tax rebate on its way though!

Omg this! I am in the same boat, I have a few friends round here but my best friend has a new ladyfriend and has disappeared off the grid and my other closest friend now lives in New York and LA!!!! Makes birthdays rubbish when your two best friends aren't there.

I got invited to a boat party on the Thames tomorrow but can't as it's £20 a ticket and I have to save up money for the end of this month.
