Yes its an american 2 pin dual voltage adapter. Its also the newer type nokia adapter which is smaller. The other difference is that the Amp output is higher than the phone chargers.

Yeh mine came yesterday and I am very happy with it.

It did come with a 2 pin plug but I also had a 2 pin - 3 pin convertor plug in the Expansys box so mine is working fine.
They have the internet on computers now!!!

Expansys seem to have totally sold out of this now, yet they were showing 153 in stock yesterday!

I had problems configuring with my home network - still working now. However, it has the WORST range of all WIFI stuff I've used over the last 5 years. iI'm an experienced IT networker/hardware techy and am shocked by the lack of range! With my laptop and XDA exec, I get a decent WIFI signal in the whole house, and then to nearly the bottom of the garden ( a good 20 meters). This tabler thing, I get 20 feet - max!!! Anyone else noticed this as an issue or do I have a duffer?

Do you have the WLAN Transmission Power set to 10mW or 100mW?

Now that these nice little things started arriving, can someone please point us to useful applications and enhancements. I am particularly interested in running Java to be able to access may NAS drive using the tablet. I would also love to be able to stream videos over the internet amongst other things. Did some searches but didn't come to anything useful. Are there any experts with these things out there?
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

***I can't guarantee how safe this is***
... but I've been quite happily running my american 2 pin charger using a 50p shaver adapter plug. A guy I was talking to in Maplin said that this shouldn't be done as shaver adapters are only supposed to be used with shavers, but it doesn't overheat and hasn't blown the 1 Amp fuse, so seems ok to me.

    Change the fuse(if possible)?
  • re:- WIFI range...
Mine is set to 100mw power and I have tried 3 different wifi routers (I said I was a techy!). However, I have noticed that with my video sender off, I gain 5 extra feet - ooooo- and I know that neighbours use these too, so think we may have interference! doh! I have tried all the sub channels, and channel 1 is best, but then I get interference from next doors wifi (also on CH1). It looks like a cool device, but I'm frustrated by the lack of distance on WIFI. As I said, my laptop and XDA EXEC both pick up my signal well into my garden and all round the house. Looking on t'internet suggests I am not alone with this issue!
Just saying to those thinking of buying...
(+) Great screen and good idea for websurfing
    (-) Possible wifi distance issue
(Why oh why didn't they make it a mobile phone too?!?!?!?)
Also, I have problems pairing with my xda exec via tmobile web 'n' walk which
would sort of solve my wifi issue, so a double doh! Going to try it with a NOKIA phone to see if that'll work...

It's nearly 80quid, and I think it maybe best for some people to look on ebay and find a WiFi pda with 640x480 display (Dell??) which maybe of more use and functionality.

It is defo. one for the gadgeteers amongst us!! Mine maybe on ebay soon tho!

That's a really bad idea. The fuse is there only to protect the plug and the wiring - if it comes with a 1 amp fuse, it means that anything more than that will damage it, potentially causing it to overheat and go on fire.

Much better to have the fuse blow than your house burn down.
