Facebook and holidays

Personally, I'm not a fan of Facebook. I don't think you're overreacting, I'd be pretty peeved if someone went against my wishes, and I'd tell her as such too.0

^^^ this!
There's a setting that prevents other peoples tagged photos appearing on your own page until you approve them, so I'd say it was just as much you at fault as well as her, given you could have easily prevented it.
Hmm well I did say that I'd didn't realise I could stop being tagged in..genuine mistake! She deliberately tagged me when I asked her more than once not to do so!!!Second purse £34.75/£50.00
Third purse £0.00
Paying £5.00 a week in second purse

I think you can detag yourself!! You are not overreacting at all. Its just annoying some people don't listen. ITs like when people say to me on my wall .. Have a good holiday!!!! I immediately remove any post like that...0

No, you're not overreacting because you specifically asked her not to tag you and she did anyway!
I have to approve any tagged photos before they appear on my timeline and as others have said you can do the same with posts.
I have heard peoples concerns over being burgled while you are away if you've announced it on Facebook (usually by people who are not on there) and I don't really see how it's possible unless you also provide your address! Everyone who is a friend on there is either a good friend who knows where I live and would never either burgle me or let slip to a stranger that I'm not there (which they could do regardless of facebook), or I don't know them well enough for them to know where i live.
It's more likely that other signs are there while someone is away - for me that might be that my car is parked outside my house without moving for however long, or the fact that it hasn't been outside my house for however long. Hence why burglaries are most common during the day when people are out at work.0 -

Deliberately, or without thinking? I don't like being tagged in pics and my friends know that, but there are times where I have been tagged and I've just declined the notification. I doubt she meant any harm, just that she didn't think about your conversation when she was doing it.
Unless there is another issue here, did you have a good holiday in general?0 -
I don't think you're overreacting at all. Aside from the whole Facebook issue; you specifically asked your friend not to do something several times - presumably she agreed - and then she did it anyway. I'd be concerned about her lack of respect for your wishes/privacy.0

Depends what your reaction is as to whether you are overreacting.
If it's "hey, just to say I was a bit miffed you tagged us in the going away pics when I specifically asked not to. You know the issues we have had in the past. I just wanted to let you know I didn't appreciate that."
then you are not overreacting at all
If it's: "!!!!!!!! I told you not to but you did anyway. I can't believe you'd be so stupid what the hell do you think you were playing at?!!"
then that's possibly a notch too far. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
I think you're overreacting.
My Facebook was littered with holidays this year... None were burgled.
I'm not bothered because the Facebook friends I have that aren't close friends, don't know where I live.
Unless I lived in a really dodgy area.
Though she shouldn't have gone against your wishes but seems counter productive for her to do it on purpose.0 -
I would be annoyed, my friend had a habit of posting every single detail of the holiday including the taxi journey there and making a point of having a pint at silly o clock in the morning including the usual inane photos.
She doesn't now as the last time she went on holiday she was burgled and they literally cleared her out they left nothing but muck, the neighbours assumed they were moving and even helped the burglars pack the van.0
