Lived not far from his country residence and I do believe he uttered the words 'Don't you know who I am?" in relation to not paying for his daily papers in the local shop. That says a lot.... Apparently his wife is really lovely.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

I've just sent off my gas/electricity reading for the month.

Random post, I know ...but I also know I'm not alone in forgetting to submit them :o

It was pretty pointless this time though because when I logged in to do it it said "we will call to perform a meter reading at your property on 15/09" :rotfl:

I do ours every 2 weeks, end of the month before the next months DD goes in and then half way through the month and these dates are marked on the calendar. After I've taken the reading I then put the amount we are in credit to onto my everyday excel chart.

Back at the start of June we had an email entitled "your amended direct debit" There was a lot of feather spitting but when I opened it is just said we were paying the correct amount - well I knew that already :D

on Scottish power website it tells you what your average daily usage is and ours dropped from between 25 and 30 units a day when the heaters were on, 2 computers and printers and the fire was lit day and night until August when I got it below 10 :T

    Ooh, manners, sorry! Morning all!
Anyone for a :coffee: ? just a quickie before I pop out to As. (no comments nerfy  )

So shocked to hear about doggies. :( Even more sad when it looks like it could be such a young person who did it. People are capable of unspeakable evil aren't they? :(

Glad to see many more others are doing what they can to help rectify things and support the charity. And those two brave men. :T:T:T:T

Are you OK bubbs? Hope you're not in too much pain now?

Tweets, your DS sounds like a lovely lad - so supportive. :j Hope next week is OK and you have a lovely w/e together when he comes.

I am about to post the most controversial thing I've ever written on here.

My heart goes out to the suffering that these poor dogs have gone through but my heart also goes out to the child who (allegedly) committed arson.
He is a child and we know nothing about his circumstances but already there are calls for his head:o
Some children in this country are raised in the most unimaginable circumstances. Poverty, abuse and neglect can warp and scar a child for life. Some live in conditions not fit for an animal.I don't believe that people are born evil but people can perform evil acts. That doesn't mean that we should write them off.

I hope he is getting the hugs he needs right now.

I totally agree. As a Police Officer, I've dealt with so many kids in custody that are stuck in a life of crime. Its all they've ever known, usually their parents and their parents before them have been exactly the same. They've never been brought up to know right from wrong, and often have some of the most dysfunctional and disaffected upbringings that are difficult to even imagine. I would see kids the same age as my own and my heart would break for them knowing the differences in their life between my own kids and theirs.

Yes, its a horrific crime to commit, I don't think anyone would disagree with that. But I hope your post has caused people to stop and think just a little about the child who committed it, and the possible reasons why, which may not be as straightforward as so many people would like to think.
