Also forgot to add that earlier this year we went to St James palace to collect his Gold Duke of Edinburgh award

And last December - even though he had only been working for the company for 6 months his company awarded him ( 4 others were also awarded for different reasons) a Chairman's award for his valiant efforts and the massive impact he had had on staff and clients despite being a newcomer - a trophy warded at the annual staff dinner, £500 and later this year everyone who is on the list gets an overnighter in London and gets to meet the Duke of York :j

regarding children who struggle with the education system, its very much a one size fits all policy.

My youngest found primary and junior very difficult and the SENCO was the head and a really horrible woman.
But both the year 6 teachers were saints and between them he got through the dreaded SATS.
In high school the SENCO was another saint and he went above and beyond what was needed to help. He got him assessed for all and everything but he just did not fit any criteria so there was no extra funding.
College was another leap forward but after a bit of settling down in the first years he thrived - I've heard this numerous times, children like this who struggle with the school system would really do better if they went to college at 14 to do their GCSEs and all of the practical things that they excel at.
He did the foundation course and then did another 2 year course and got best student in his year twice.
Then he decided to do the 2 year foundation uni course - same campus. By now he was unstoppable - 3 days at uni with a practical day, 2 days working and 2 days walking or climbing or whatever on his spare days, scout young leader and ATC adult instructor etc.
In the final year of uni all of a sudden they found funding for him - he had an assessment which we had to pay £150 for but then he got a weekly tutor to help make sense of his written work and a huge budget to spend on computer equipment
He started applying for work and on his 2nd interview he got offered a full time position, finished his final uni assessment in 6 weeks, left home and started work.
This is a child who, at the age of 4, one teacher said would be impossible to educate

    Good afternoon Elite!

A rare day off for me today so thought I would do some shopping , I think I may have found something useful.:j:j:j

I've searched here and can't find it but in T's Upp£r B0at today they had buy 2 Dolmio lasagne sauces and get a "free" large lasagne dish. Same deal that's on HUKD atm but that's for Iceland and this was in T's today.

Now if you're wondering does the lasagne dish go through free with less or no Dolmio sadly the answer is no. I removed one of the jars with my hand scanner and was immediately charged the £6.99 for the bowl. So back on it went!

Also if it helps I bought 2 of the normal tomato lasagne sauces for £ and they compared on the PP to £2 in A's :T:T:T

I didn't even go in for any Dolmio!
