A crazy glitch at Natwest with cash deposit.

The letter always defines which transaction caused the account be over drawn. I'm suspecting that due to the 2.3O cut off being mentioned a direct debit or standing order was returned unpaid. It could be they had a positive account balance but the available balance was a negative.
Could you blank out the personal details and post the letter? To be honest I personally work in the charges department so I see the letters everyday so I'd be interested to see this one.
If the cashier made the payment on the clients behalf she would have told them there and then there was not enough funds to cover the transaction.
Thank you. I cannot post other people's letter, it does not have a transaction mentioned, as I explained. It only tells about overdraft and charges. Unfortunately , this letter does exist!
There are no standing orders or direct debits on this account, I can assure you. If you work in charges, just contact complaints and they will confirm the case - there is a registered complaint about this.
After the visit to the branch there was not a single transaction on that or next day. The trouble was caused purely by the cash deposit mysteriously changing the date to the following day, so it looked like the credit card ££££ was paid over the counter out of nothing. (overdrawn) This is what the staff confirmed on the phone.0 -

All letter's go out with the details of the transactions that took the account over drawn that's all I'm saying. I've worked in lending/charges for a long time and it's a legal requirement for the details to be included within the letter. What day was the actual money paid into the account? And how much are they being charged? And what date are the charges being collected?Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Somethingcorporate can be and should be ignored and a local full time anticonsumer troll, who follows , like a badge of honour, every thread of mine. His role is to discredit good advice and to intimidate consumers into giving up fighting for their rights. Does not have much other work to do, on here all day.
What a load of irrelevant tosh. If he is not paid for this, it is really sad. If he does get paid for his numerous thread- littering posts, then it is sad as well.
Scroll down if you can.
I personally value somethingcorporate's contribution to the forum, and judging from what I have seen, so do many other MSE forum users. Nobody has the role to judge people by how much time they spend on a forum. Free speech is a right we luckily all have in this country.
I also think it is quite out of order that you are calling people trolls simply because they might not share your views. If you object to someone's post, you can report it to the forum team. This is what I have done with yours.0 -

This is not necessary, because the only thing why you want to see it is that you do not trust my words.
As I said, the letter does not contain any info about a particular transaction. However since over the phone the transaction has been identified already, there is no need for this letter but to satisfy your curiosity.
The moral of the story is simple: you put cash over he counter in Nw. They take you cash and let you make any payments with it straight away. then they will make you overdrawn,, because, kind of, the cash 0nly leared tomorrow. nothing else is relevant really.0 -

No! Just double checked! There was no second page (the page I thought was a second page was in fact part of a print out from the branch). The letter DID NOT define the transaction. So, I am afraid, you are wrong, sadly.0 -

Thank you Archi, if it wasn't for regulars such as our good selves (and many like us) giving up our time for free Malchish would have nowhere to ask their pointless questions.
I find it highly ironic that Malchish wants help yet doesn't want it from people that post regularly as has a massive chip on his shoulder about something to do with post count (I genuinely don't understand this).
I can confirm I am 100% not anti-consumer, having written parts of the FAQ in the consumer rights forum myself. I suggest people should look through Malchish's posting history to see what kind of individual they are.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

It's not the print out from the branch you need.
Can you clarify did the letter come from a branch print out or was the letter sent in the post?
How much are they being charged?
When are the charges being debited from the account?Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

He took print out from the branch on the day. It had 2 pages and had no overdraft.
The letter came several days later by post, in 1 page, not mentioning which transaction, but informing of unauthorised overdraft.
I momentarily got confused, and for a moment thought the page 2 belonged to the letter, but no, it did not.
The letter said they will send notification of the fees due, then 21 day later would debit.
But now they won't , hopefully. That would be totally outrageous to charge after all...0 -

Did Royal Mail deliver a letter about the charges?
