    Morning all

    errand running.

But the table I borrowed from work has been wiped down on the legs and underside (I used it for a car boot). It is now going back to work cleaner than it was when I borrowed it.

    Afternoon all

It is quite muggy here and I'm struggling. WM1 on the line, furniture hoovered in the LR, paid gardening done, took 30 minutes longer than planned so I'll do 30 minutes less next week.

Just having a cuppa then I want to get the hoovering and mopping done and have another shower. I need to take a photo of DS2 too for him to upload for his railcard and student pass.

  • Hello all

Is it ok if I come back?

My summer job finished last week, so I have more time to fly and post. My Saturday mornings also finish at the end of September so I shall have even more free time (I hope!)

Some of you may remember that I decided to move back to my adopted home town. I getting there very slowly, but now I've stopped working evenings, I'm devoting after work to get the house sale ready.

Last night was sorting the garden (still WIP), putting weed killer on the drive and a dump run. Tonight is another dump run, plus going to bee & que for wallpaper and bathroom flooring.

I have a decorator booked (just waiting for him to come back to me with some dates) and need to book an appointment with the carpet fitter.

My September Challenge is to get my house ready and put it on the market.

Hugs, spoons & sticks to all that need them.

Good luck to those with kids going/gone back to school/college/uni

Late today. Henry walked downstairs. Skirting boards dusted and wiped. Kitchen cupboard contents sorted. Wardrobe items flung. Bedroom tidied. Tiny bit of weeding done. Will do bathroom tomorrow when I walk Henry upstairs. Hugs spoons and chocolate x

Welcome back, deco x are you still going to Fleur's ball? I can't make it I'm afraid :(

Littlies collected from school. All is well. DD who was a bit anxious this morning had a brilliant day, she wants to go to "that big school" again lol. DS who was fine this morning had a few tears on the way home. Just overwhelmed I think. But his teacher gets a thumbs up and he's fine now he's had a cuddle and a calm down. Didn't have much of his drink though and I wonder if its because he's not sure where the toilets are. It will all settle by the weekend I expect.

They are currently stuffing their faces with sausage, yorkies and broccoli. I've finished work for the week, sent a message to my boss who seems to be in denial about my lack of availability next week. Ho hum. I have warned my colleague and sorted the calendar so it will be ok.

Tonight I need to bake DDs cake. Mr S delivery brought stuff for sandwiches and other tea party grub, so that's tomorrow's dinner sorted.

Need a general tidy round too so DD and I can have our birthday day out. Lol. We are only going to the garden centre for some plug plants. Possibly the ice cream parlour. Then just to get everything ready for tea. And hopefully plant some little winter pansies if we can get some.

Right. They are still hungry so off I go...

Perfect, mrs mp that's us sorted for tomorrow!

Just made a complete @rse of the cake. First I had 1 egg less than I thought (after already doing the butter and sugar). Then I sieved half the flour and turned round to mix. And forgot to add the rest of the flour  cue me scooping batter out of the tin to re-mix it all. Then once the big side was in the oven, I realised the parchment disc I'd cut out was still on the counter rather than in the tin, under the cake mix. You just couldn't make it up.

Anyway. Tis baked, and is now cooling in the tin (which I do remember buttering well and sprinkling flour in). I hope it comes out ok.

    Hoovering and mopping done

DS2 has rubbed down the first door and I've sugar soaped and rinsed it and did the back door and and bottom of the french doors whilst out there plus the back garage windows. It looks nice and clean.

DS3 home, all well and he is fed and off to do his homework now. Doing dinner for DS2 and I now whilst he rubs down the other door and then I'll sugar soap that one too. think I'll deweb and clean the front door tomorrow so it is all done, might even see if DH fancies painting that one if we have done the side ones.

DS3's timetable all printed out and on the wall for my info as to when PE and tech are.
