    Morning all

DS3 away to school. I'm going to have my shower then get my dailies done before popping out for an hour's paid gardening.

Not sure yet what else I hope to achieve today.

Mary berry has a recipe for an apple tray bake. An alternative to crumble?

I don't eat apples and I don't like cake. so either way it needs to be freezable and not soggy but thank you it might be something interesting.. actually I think I have Diva's apple cake recipe on the other lappy.

    Lovely photos Pigpen.
Well done on the award Ionafan.

Just waiting for the sun to come out and then get in the garden - didn't manage it yesterday!!
House is a tip and no chance of sorting until DH gets back as we were bathroom spare parts hunting yesterday!! Typically our firms no longer exist. New toilet seat to fit over £300!! Probably will be cheaper to buy a new toilet!!!!
    Lots of catch up today
starting with bedding washing, packing for couple days with DS and photos of "stuff" here to see if he wants to keep it or not!!!
Will try to do quick HHC to hoover through but at vol job 2 this pm.

Catch up later or next week!!!
    Have a good day everyone.

Have done everything I intended and more except for cutting the grass, it's still too wet. Am just about to dust the surfaces in DD's room before the paid stuff.

So you will have achieved your September goals by this evening, nicki! :p

:rotfl::rotfl: The bookcases are up (took 2.5 hours to build 3 tall bookcases!), the books are on the shelves (3 hours), the desk is up (an hour) and is now a dumping ground until I can get some more jobs done & the fridge-freezer instead of separate larder ones then I need to order at least another bookcase  Today I'm working on the sofa as usual. :o

Today I have to do paid stuff. Trouble is, last time I did this part was July so it may take me slightly longer than usual. DD will help me put books out when she gets home as my hip is playing up today so I'm hobbling everywhere :( I'm hoping a hot bath will help ease whatever is wrong, but I suspect the 8 hours I spent sat/kneeling/crouched on the cold laminate floor yesterday and lots of walking the day before has caused it. :(

Off to reboot the fr33view box again, then try and get the hard-drive on it reformatted. I'm hoping that'll fix the problems we're having with it as I can't afford to go replacing that as well right now! Coffee, and book preparing for me until lunchtime I think

I absolutely LOVE the photographs - house cross stitches, folded books, Bossy's DS and DD, Moomin and the earlier ones of your small pinks et al Pigpen. Seeing them gives me huge lift, so thank you all for posting them.

Ionafan, your cane toad of an email that took you two stabs has reminded me I need to finish my monster, too. I think I'm just going to bundle up all the work I've done and send it off with a PS on the already drafted letter asking them to let me know what else they need. This has been ongoing for six months and it's driving me to distraction and stopping me doing anything else. Thank you for the inspiration.
    Better is good enough.
