Afternoon, just enjoying a cuppa after doing the weekly shop. Treated DD2 to lunch as she is going back to Uni soon. Will miss our little outings as there is not much chance of doing the same with DD1 who is busy with new job (6 am - 9pm), and doesn't like tea/coffee, cakes or pastries

    Green Menu:

B: GF cereal (B1) with BD milk (A1). Tea with LF milk.
    L: J. Pot, chilli (5 mince) & salad. Pineapple. Skinny Latte (A2).
D: Chicken (B2) & pasta bake (5 cheese), SW roasties, broccoli & sweetcorn. Tea with BD milk.

S: Cocoa with BD milk. GF pink wafer (3)

Great to see you back poppy, missed you already!;)

I don't know any that are free but the rice pouches in Aldi are low syn. Just 1 for pilau rice, 1.5 for long grain. 2 for basmati and 2.5 for egg fried. If you share a pouch (and have chips as well:o) then it's very low syn.

Good explanations of the S, SS, SF etc etc. I think the key thing is that while Speedy and Super Speedy help to boost weightloss (and so are good things to have), it's the at least a third SF that's the essential part of the EE plan. That's what makes things like berries excellent as they're win/win (SF and SS). Of course your soup does count in the third saverupper, sorry I missed that. I just noticed the beans, corn and peas and knew they aren't SF.

SW doesn't differentiate between fruit and veg for SF, it's just a personal thing that I think sugar is sugar and too much fruit )instead of veg) could be a mistake.

I have another personal theory that might help too. I look at my SFs across a day. That's partly because I rarely have any at breakfast but also because logic tells me that it's the proportion that counts. I really can't see any point in having a balanced plate of food at dinner, say, then spending all evening eating free food. Surely if that was all on the same plate then it wouldn't be a third SF. It's the way they reason it for Success Express so I can't be far wrong.

If I think I'm short on SF I tend to have an apple or better still attack the cornichons or beetroot!

I'm another having techie problems. I assumed we did have the latest IE version. I'll check with 'him what does'.;)

    Evening all :)
Made myself go to group last night and was shocked and pleased to see I had STS :) given the fact I was away at the weekend and on Sunday alone I had a tub of rum and raisin and white choc ice cream followed by a vanilla bean frappe with squirty cream (and that's not even mentioning the veggie burger, four vodkas, 2 chocolate muffins, mini bottle of wine, prawn mayo sarnies and meat and potato pie that were consumed across the rest of the weekend!! :o) i was good and stuck to plan 100% Wednesday and Thursday and back on plan today. I don't have the time or the energy to exercise at the minute though which isn't ideal :(
    Today's menu:
B: HEXB Ryvita Cracked black pepper x 3, smoked salmon, lean ham. Bottle of water
L: Pasta with HEXA Laughing Cow Light blue cheese and BM tikka chunks, apple, Hartley's NAS jelly pot (1/2 syn) caffeine free diet coke
    Snack: Cheese twist (2 syns)
T: LMC Ro&R sausages, mashed potato, beans. 2 x mini milks (3 syns) pint of NAS
    S: steamed mixed veg
    Syns: 5.5 + 2.5 for extra milk, 2 for a small hot choc (10)
    Hope everyone's ok xx

b_e_g - I'm amused at the idea of you still blitzing vegetables for your son! Glad he's having a go at cooking and getting better at it. I'm guessing he leaves you the mess to tidy up? You asked about the pouch rices and I don't think there are any syn free ones. The microwave rices all have some oil to help it cook and not stick together.

Just looked at syns online and most are 3-4 syns a pouch, which is not bad since that's two portions. The lowest are mainly the not flavoured ones - tesco wholegrain is 2, longgrain 2.5. The best I could see is Uncle Ben's Thai Sweet Chilli at 1.5

Well the cooking session has finally commenced around 7pm. Nice smell coming through to next room. Just popped into kitchen to see if there was any washing up to be done and he told me has been doing it as he goes along  Think I need a lie down now as I am in total shock :rotfl:

Thanks for the rice info. Think he was being a bit adventurous in the amount of cooking he was hoping to get done today so I think some of it will carry over till tomorrow.

Thanks for this maman. I suppose the syns are minimal for the convenience of them.

Got a nice surprise last night at class - apparently if you maintain (or go below) your Club 10 for ten weeks you get a free week. So unless I have one hell of a gain this week I should get in for free next week. ;)

We had some Speed Soup tonight made with the stock from beef joint that we had on Sunday - let it cool and there was only a thin skim of fat to come off so in my book that makes it free. DH didn't mind this one as it was less tomatoey.

Just missed you again Shala! Well done everyone on the losses :T

    It's a 3.5lb loss for me this week :j

Somehow I did better in a week when I went over syns one day, was high end on syns every other day and didn't weigh or measure anything, than the previous week when I was 100% good :o
