:eek::eek: will someone please tell me why I just ate the packet of all butter Christmas biscuits??? I didn't even like them:(:(:(
I dunno but as soon as I think 'Oh yes, I'll lose some weight' my other brain says 'Eat it, eat it now, you know you want it!!!' AND I REALLY DON'T
sigh
on the plus side I did do 30 mins on the treadmill at between 4-5kphGo hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
does anyone know anything about the new changes yet? I've heard rumours that they are ditching the red/green plans, which is a worry as I'm a vegetarian and only do green!
Our consultant said that the new books focus on EE and don't give the other syn values, but that if we are happy doing red or green we are perfectly welcome to continue doing that. SW are not going to police us and insist we do EE.
It's just that the different plans are apparently confusing new members so they are trying to simplify things. She said that the EE plan can be done by veggies, although as another member pointed out we wouldn't have the extra HEA for cheese
Personally I have to go weigh as I wouldn't stick to things otherwise, I need that weekly visit to the scales. I also like the classes and normally stay. As I take my baby with me I have to spend forever explaining why he isn't there if I'm not staying - and apologising to those who normally get cuddles :rotfl::heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

I don't know, but it will be the same part of the brain that made me eat a chocolate orange today(I did love it though).

Will be interested to see what the changes are, someone on Facebook mentioned there may be two extra easy plans and a change to the list of super free foods.0

Ah, so it's the brain! That'll be what's behind that tube of pringles then
I made some free chicken, peppers and cous cous which is really tasty, but I can't keep my hands off the extras this week. I knew it would happen though and at least last week proved to me that I can do it.
Next week is going to be a challenge, as I'm still on holiday and still have lots of goodies around. I'm not going to beat myself up if I can't stay on plan, but I am hoping to surprise myself and do it.
Not sure about the syns flutterbyuk, but butter beans make a lovely soup - google for a recipe that you like the sound of.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

I'm here; back at last.
It has been a tough few weeks; dad went on to dialysis (peritoneal at home) straight after his op which was unexpected as we thought we'd have until Christmas at least. So I've been doing what I can from here, learning about everything and need to make him some kit bags as his peritoneal tube has iodine in which isn't supposed to come out but can leak and mum is allergic so as he is away a lot I will make some bags for him to put any clothes with iodine in so mum doesn't touch them!
Bf has been ill and really knocked for six; a downside of his CP is that getting too cold can really affect him as he gets tons of extra spasms and can go on to get UTIs etc and his work always has the air con on full blast. Its been so cold his team leader has had to send him home 3 times! But then his spasms have ramped up and left him a bit knocked then hes had a cold and something on his chest
Wonder bairn has been ill too; she had a cold then a viral thing then more cold followed by sticky eyes. She's picking up now but has more teething symptoms but still no teeth poor lovie at 9 months!
Then of course we have had Christmas.
Think I am looking at a 4lb gain though I've had 4 amazing OTT meals plus all the little extras in the past week and a half so I'm ok I was expecting it. Still some mincemeat left so will maybe make mince pies and ration them strictly.
Bf got me a great zumba fitness 'game' for his xbox one for Christmas; tried it a couple of night ago and I'm definitely going to make the effort to play at least twice a week as it has full 'workouts' on and it really is like doing a normal class - I'm rather impressed actually!
Plan is to make batches of soup each week to have for lunches at work as I find it really filling, continue with HeB breakfasts (ready brek or wheat biscuits atm) and use syns for evening meals.
Are there any low syn ice lollies/ice creams at Iceland anyone know? What are fruit splits like for syns?
I will shift this pesting 1st 8lbs in the first quarter before wonder bairns first birthday. and I will book for her to be Christened!************************************

I am with you on BF's muscle spasms in the cold as mine are dire.
Positive vibes for your dad.

For the weigh in the week before Christmas can you put me down for 3lbs off?
Didn't really deserve that as I was throwing up all one day, then I rallied and ate junk for a couple of days and then was sick again. Bit of a weird one. I even went to weigh in wearing jeans and a thick jumper.
Then I had Christmas Eve to yesterday off, got weigh in tomorrow.
I'm starting back on plan this morning, so will probably be able to get a couple of lbs off, but I've probably gained half a stone, my first gain since joining SW.0 -
Morning
Christmas goody temptation is obviously taking hold - for some reason I decided it was a good idea to buy a stollen from Lidl, and now it's sitting there asking to be eaten. Had a slice yesterday with a cuppa, it was lovely.
Lush - sorry to hear about your family problems. I used to work in an office with aircon and it was so cold I used to go outside to get warm! It's silly, can't it be set a little warmer given your OH's condition? Re the teething, I was told my first baby was teething when she was 6 weeks old and she didn't get her first tooth until she was 10 months. It shouldn't be much longer.
Pennylane - I'm sure we've all been there, yoyo dieting is very common. The problem is maintaining the weight loss which some say is harder than losing weight in the first place. If I added up all the weight I've lost over the years it would probably be some ridiculous number like 50 stone.
I've got a cupboard full of clothes that fitted me in slimmer times which I keep as an incentive to get into them again.
I'm planning to put a butternut squash curry in the slow cooker this morning; there's a cold wind here today and OH is playing golf so he will appreciate something to warm him up when he gets home.
Have a good day, try to resist the naughties!
LL
ETA - I'm not planning to weigh in again until Friday, and I've resisted any sneaky peaks so no idea how much damage was done at Christmas. If I knuckle down and stay on plan for the next few days I'm hoping for a loss.Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -
Lush - don't know about Iceland lollies but I have the fruit splits from Mr Ts and they are 3 syns each. The best ones synwise are Minimilks at 1.5 each.
Finally got back on plan yesterday! Today will be another day for using up some of the leftovers!
B - scrambled eggs on toast
L - jacket potato with LO turkey curry
D - soy sauce marinated chicken breast, with spinach & noodles.
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - bread
Not a lot of SFs in there but still have some satsumas left which will have to do for today.
DH is back in work today then off again until Friday so we're planning on going shopping tomorrow. Hoping to get to the Chinese cash & carry.
Forgot to say WI for me this week is Wednesday morning. Hoping a few days on plan will get me back into target range!
