2.5lb on for me today :T pleased with that.. Usually over Xmas I'd put on 7lb easily when not doing Sw so that's a win in my eyes.. I know other people would be horrified..
I now have 4.5lb to lose by my next weigh in on Jan 8 to get my stone award... Fingers crossed.Hi everyone

I know that I will have to stay to first one to learn about the plan etc . I got to WW goal 2 years ago but put stone back on, tried to get back into WW but it's just not happening so decided to give SW a go. I didn't stay back for the WW chat and it didn't hamper my weigh loss, I know some people like that part of the membership but it's not for me.

You don't have to stay to class... I don't always stay but on the nights I do I find it quite motivating, however, it all depends on how good the consultant is.. Ours is brilliant, I've been to one where I'd have rather stuck pins in my eyes than stay :rotfl:Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

You get weighed first but not by your consultant though but a helper. Then the consultant does her talk etc. people do leave straight after weighing. Personally I think it's very expensive for just a weigh in. Weighing yourself at Boots is cheaper! If you get the voucher from the Woman mag you can just go, get the new books and all the info and then go it alone if you understand the plan etc.
I've always hated the classes in the past but now have a good leader and a nice class and it does motivate me to do well. Good luck0 -

Back to normal again today and back on the plan, apart from one last hotel breakfast this morning. I didn't go too mad - fruit and natural yogurt and an omelet, but I did give in to temptation and have a small croissant and a pain au chocolat.
We're out for a meal at friends tonight, she's doing chilli which will probably be quorn mince as she's a vegetarian, so it will only be wine syns I have to worry about.
Catch you to tomorrow - I'm planning on a siesta this afternoon to catch up on lost sleep!

Welcome aboard mackeroo. Good luck with SW. There are a lot of members at my class just weigh and run - it works for some people but others benefit from staying to Image Therapy. Obviously the consultants would like people to stay but I suppose it is a case of whatever works for you. Keep popping in and let us know how you get on.
Well had a couple of days totally off plan and feel much more in control today. Still loads of naughties in fridge and cupboards but ignoring them for the time being. Received lots of foodie pressies which definitely not very SW friendly :eek: Lunch today was cold meat, boiled eggs and a huge portion of Delia's braised red cabbage and apple (adapted of course), and pineapple for afters. Tonight is salmon with chilli, lime and ginger (nom nom).
I was thinking that probably for the majority of us, even though we may not have stuck to plan we have probably stuffed ourselves a lot less than we would have done in previous years. Can't be a bad thing, can it? Hopefully the gains will not hang around too long in the New Year. :rotfl:

Well, WI this morning was a +1.75lb which was fully deserved as I have enjoyed myself being off the wagon this week. Back on SW today and can hopefully get that and a few of it's friends shifted soon enough.
I could live with that gain LauriGood luck for next wi.

That's what I'm hoping for shala - a smaller gain than previous years. I know there is not a cat in hells chance of getting a loss so I will settle for a little gain ...... watch this spaceFingers crossed for that next award. Thank you for our lovely chart.

So is 2015 is going to be the year I want it to be I need to take myself in hand and get on plan (I can't really say get back on plan as I haven't really been fooling anyone, least of all me)
So my question is shall I join a class? Or join on line? Or go it alone with the millions of magazines, books and leaflets I already have?Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -

Welcome aboard msgnomey - I'm sure 2015 will be our year when we make things happenSW plan is changing over the next couple of weeks - new books issued from this week I think so it would be a very good time to join. Why not take advantage of Woman mag offer (mentioned above) to join, get new books and then decide whether you want to stay to class or go it alone with the help of this amazing thread. I am sure one of our lovely people will be along very soon to offer more advice. Good luck with whatever you choose to do an just remember - we can do this

I joined online and thought it expensive for the 3 months. A month would have done me. All I used it for was getting diet , ordering SW book. After 3 weeks I only entered my weight online and found more useful information on this thread (that I happened to stumble across) than on SW online. Hope that helps0
