good morning lovely folks :hello:
-3lbs for me Shala :j
I am finally under 22st, In Jan. I was 23st1 :eek::eek:
you have no idea how much that means to me, I have lost and gained within that stone so many lbs, have joined I don't know how many challenges on here and always lost/gained
Now I need to keep going though. The tiger crusty bloomer did shout at me last night and I had a slice or two. No ideas of syns but had quite a few left over for the week, so I ate them. Just had tomato on them and a bit of vlf mayo so not to use butter.
Annie, that is some serious batch cooking, well done
Mildredd, I would just give the nursery staff a nice box of biscuits. that way they can share or divide all the gifts up amongst themselves.
Saver-upper, about the money
shala thanks for doing the chart
Is it tea time yet? Can't wait for the chicken roast dinner!
Not sure about the rest yet. bacon beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach for brunch
I saw a quick advert on tv last night for Heinz beans, there are new varieties, veg chilli, fajita and tuscan, wonder if they are free, they sound lovely
Have a lovely Sunday0 -
Hi everyone from a lurker! You are so inspiring and I've really enjoyed the recipes posted.
I have been trying to follow Slimming World myself for the last four weeks with a lot of reading and studying this forum and others for ideas, but I'd appreciate a bit of help, if you don't mind.
I have lost 10lbs in 4 weeks but last week had a 5lb loss, this week stayed the same - does this sometimes happen? I'm not disappointed because at least I haven't gained anything!
Also I'm finding Extra Easy a bit hard on some days but I haven't really got my head around red/green days. I think the menu below is a green day but I'm not sure.....
B Alpen lights and banana
L HM vegetable and chickpea curry with boiled rice, salad (toms, cucumber and onion) with dressing made from FF yoghurt and fresh mint
D Bacon (1 slice) and Mushroom omlette with baked beans, small wholemeal roll, Muller FF Greek lemon yoghurt
Today may be a red day??
B Mushroom omlette with beans
L Roast chicken with lots of veg and SW roasties
D Either Ham or prawn salad
Fruit as snacks
Hex A tends to be milk for coffee. Syns have always been within range, sometimes just used for cooking (eg Pataks paste for the curry)
Am I getting this right?0 -
DON'T MENTION THE N word Shala :O :O :O
That's my biggest struggle lol
peanuts/walnuts/any nuts....
I have had peanut butter for breakfast every day for probably 10 years... I've only had it twice in the last 14 days.... I'm having complete withdrawals and I know there's some gorgeous old fashioned in the cupboard and a packet of peanuts
WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH save me...
DON'T MENTION THE N WORDSoz... It's the mixed salted nuts I've found from the co-op that are lovely, I'm not a big fan of peanuts and peanut butter but a nice almond or macadamia then nomnomnom
ruby_eskimo wrote: »Oh god, peanut butter is the one thing I'm missing so badly. When I get to target I shall reward myself with some on toast. It's the only thing getting me through!
No need for you to not have it, syn yourself some every week as a treat for keeping on track.. Morning esmy, brilliant loss so far :T I wouldn't worry too much about staying the same this week if you had a massive loss last week. Our hormones and bodies are strange so some weeks we lose more than others, as long as you're losing overall then I think you're doing it ok.:D
I popped some notes on your first menu to try and work out if it looked ok, I think it's fine as a green day if you had enough milk in your drinks as your hea..
The second menu I'd keep as extra easy - I don't think beans are free on a red day(someone else can confirm) and your SW roasties would have to be synned too. You have plenty of superfree so you may as well do EE and add in your heb and some syns..
Hope that helps xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

Crabapple - quorn peppered steaks are free?
Linda mc rosemary n red onion sausages are free??
Yeah sorry I'm always ultra organised but lagging a bit this yearplus extras for nursery - see there's 6 staff (ones her key worker) but they rotate round the two age sections so she'll be in contact with them all
so 6 gifts really
My daughter is a teacher and every year she wishes parents wouldn't feel obliged to buy a present it makes her sad to think that people have spent money on things she dosent want or cannot use. Biscuits and chocolates are given away, toiletries go to the charity shop. The things she really values are a handmade token or card. This year my nieces are planning to make a tree
decoration with a little poem.
A little gift for your tree
made with love to you

Meg I like that idea
I come from a teaching background - but secondary school so no gifts.
I have family who are primary and they don't like the homemade bits - prefer the chocs and flowers.
I'm beginning to think there's not a right present to buy truthfully
However mini me is aware enough to know you buy presents / cards for people you appreciate and to show you care/thanks - even if its a 10p card then it's the gesture part more than anything x
I love the thought of lush bath bombs though everyone likes a lush bath bomb surely x might have to get creative in wrapping though or hope for a small glitch on the body shop and get some gift sets.
20 hand made gifts at Xmas /Easter /end of year could be a
Lot of space taken up in someone's house
We will probably make a home made card anyway as sticking and gluing is a bit activity at the mo
(Might do the hand/foot print reindeers)
Note I'm carefully not mentioning food?! Yesterday I went the chip shopno good can come of that place.
Will be joining the gym this week - planning 3 swimming sessions and then have a personal trainer session the following week to get a tone and saggy bit sorted schedule put in place.Started sw 02/09/13 - total loss so far -5st 1lb

I'm a teacher (although in a completely different environment, I teach in a YOI/prison so don't get gifts) but I HATE anything Lush makes, cannot stomach the smells! I have to avoid the shop in town, my best friends loves it so I have to send my OH in to get her birthday/xmas pressies! :rotfl:* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Slightly random question but Christmas gifts for mini mes nursery staff?
Just wondering what other people's thoughts are on acceptable items and budgets(slowly whittling down my shopping list)
If you look on the old style board and look for OS Christmas 2014 thread there is one for snowman soup which is fairly cheap to make for each of the nursery staff.
