  • Shala - I'm weighing in on Monday? My first weigh in will be after a week from the start of the challenge - I'm hoping for a loss

Slightly random question but Christmas gifts for mini mes nursery staff?
Just wondering what other people's thoughts are on acceptable items and budgets :/ (slowly whittling down my shopping list)

Smoked salmon and cream cheese omelette. There is a load more salad under the omelette. Massively puffy and light omelette. Very tasty and I actually couldn't finish it all.

    Looks fab!

BM *Runs off to find recipe and add Salmon and Cream cheese to next weeks shopping list* :D

I think I'll just add another egg and make it for two of us, as I use all my HEAs for milk.

Good lord, the C word already! :rotfl:

From what I saw last year they get a lot of boxes of biscuits and chocolates. I guess they just split them up between themselves. It's a bit difficult to know how many people to buy for as you could say just the key worker and buddy, but then there's other staff in the room who work with your child. Whatever you send in has to be dividable (that may not be an actual word but I'm very tired and baby does not want to sleep so I'm not going to think any harder about it!).

Sunday lunch at my parents today. I've asked for quorn sausages to limit the syns, and going to look into some quick mains to have with the veg and potatoes. Can't expect them to cook from scratch every Sunday, especially as they aren't veggie, so will find some lowish syn bits they can keep in the freezer for our visits.

Crabapple - quorn peppered steaks are free?
Linda mc rosemary n red onion sausages are free??

Yeah sorry I'm always ultra organised but lagging a bit this year :/ plus extras for nursery - see there's 6 staff (ones her key worker) but they rotate round the two age sections so she'll be in contact with them all :/ so 6 gifts really :/

I'm loving the photos so thanks both of you (don't worry about the egg meg, you should see my frittata 'hash'). I'm another that's queuing up for the nephew. My computer's never been the same since I got Windows8 and I need lessons on how to post photos!

I looked up chocolate digestives and Sainsbury's Basics are 3.5 and Co-op 'Free From' are just 2.5 each. No idea what they're like but for those who like a biscuit, got to be worth a try.

Far too many wine syns for me today but otherwise quite healthy.

    EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast
    L: skinny latte
D: baked fish, roasted veg (mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers, red onions) new potatoes
    Syns: scrape of spread, wine:(

Maman I hate windows8, I bought a book and DVD and still
struggle with it and everytime it updates something else changes, or I then find its not compatible with another program, its a real pig and I`d love xp back.

Thanks for the ideas Mildredd! I don't mind using a couple of syns on things either, but don't want to be counting the cost of a free meal afterwards!

How about bath bombs from lush or something similar to that for the nursery?

Hugs for the gain slimwriter - hope you have that and more off next week :)

Good luck!! Let us know how you get on.

I'm doing the last cricket tea of the season today. I spent yesterday afternoon baking scones, chocolate cakes, flapjack and strawberry/vanilla cupcakes. I tried very hard to stay on plan but need to fess up to a bit of bowl licking. Here's hoping I can avoid any leftovers.

Roast chicken for tea with home grown veg and sw roasties.
    See you tomorrow.
