CP - am I missing a week for you - I don't seem to have your result from last week *confused*

I may have confused you! Sorry! :o

Scales in Tesco are broken, so i haven't been able to get weighed till today. So last week was 1lb on please :o

Hope that makes sense?? I think i did post earlier today but might have just thought I did :rotfl: (I blaming the early menopause, losing the plot!)

    CP xx

EDIT: Just to clarify, I haven't given this weeks weight yet as it will be the end of the week. Sorry to confuse you!

Surely that's another NSV. I'm really pleased for you mildredd. I don't know about you but I feel so much more confident when I get dressed up to go out than when I was fat.

:T on losing last week's gain meg. Just a blip. Glad the fivers are safe. Have you added another?;)

Good to hear you sounding a bit more upbeat MrsR. It's no wonder you've gained a bit if you weren't in control of your menu/shopping. Hopefully you'll be back in range very soon. :)

Not a syn has passed my lips today. I told DH not to offer me chocolate in the evenings for a while. I know I only have about 10g but they're syns I don't need. Cottage pie was yummy, even if I did eat the leftover mash straight out of the saucepan.:o

    brilliant, meg. You're a star.

Had a wasted, rotten day. Comfort eating well and truly bust my well behaved SW streak.

Haven't decided on tomorrow's menu yet, but it will be back on plan. Family are coming to stay for one or two mights, so I've cancelled my lunch out - against their wishes. After today, I just want some quiet time.

    Night.

  • Hi - just had to pop on to say THANK YOU all for the hearty congrats.
It has been achieved with the support of all of you on this thread as well as my brilliant class friends.

Just had to share someone's recent comments - " I don't eat my syns - I drink them!" Think I might be heading that way too this week. LOL!

Just remember - it is not a race and no matter how long it takes to get there it is keeping the weight off that counts - I am trying to persuade myself of that fact!

Will be watching your progress and thanks to the thread organisers.
    Take care.

Well I have been to my diabetic clinic and I asked the nurse if any of my
medication could stop me from losing weight and yes she said that some did. I also take a beta blocker which she said slows things down which helps the heart. This I must take, so, I have to put up with 1lb off sts, 1lb on 1lb off and so it goes.
But, all my stats are excellent and she said I must be eating correctly she looked back at my record prior to doing SW and my stats were awful and I was warned that it would be insulin if I didn't improve and I have Yippee!

That's great Wizkid. At least you know why you're up and down but at least you're eating much more healthily which can only be good. A great NSV!
Hi - just popping on to post - I achieved my target today!!!!

Lost 3st 2.5lbs in seven months - not mega fast, but steady - and we have been away rather a lot in that time as well.

Now just have to see if this is my best weight or if I need to tweak it - but perhaps will try and sts for a while first!!

Having a glass of red to celebrate!

Keep up the good work everyone. x

Well done just the two of us
. Good idea to just try and maintain for the time being and decide whether you're at the right weight or not - you'll find out quickly enough if it is the right weight for you.

Enjoy your glass of red (I enjoyed mine last night!)

Yay I did it, can keep my fivers a bit longer -4.1/2 lb please Shala, now I now for sure that there was something wrong last week. as I have never ever had such a big loss or a gain come to think of it. I think it must have been the constipation, thank.fully now sorted.

I am now bang on 10stone so can lose 3lb or gain 3lb
    and not pay.

We called in Asda on the way home as Batchelors Super pasta is on offer 6 for £3 and I wanted to look for the Bgood wrap which is a healthy extra but put them back quick as £2.80 for 6  I bought the cheese and broccoli pasta but was also tempted by the macaroni cheese, which I have always avoided as think it must be high syns, but comparing it is actually 30 less calories than the cheese and broccoli, 0.07gram more fat. anyone know the syn value please?

Well done Meg. Glad you can keep those fivers! Hope you're going to use them to treat yourself to something nice!

    Having an EE day today:

B - SW fry up - egg, bacon, mushrooms. Would have some beans if I had some in the fridge but don't want to open a new tin as don't think I'd be able to use up the rest of the tin in the next couple of days.
    L - LO curry & rice
D - Savoury mince with lentils (and loads of SFs!) made into shepherds pie. Will have with some cabbage and perhaps green beans as well.

Running a bit late this morning so think I'd better go and have my breakfast before reading any more on MSE this morning.

  • 1/2lb off for me this week.
Great news about the diabetes Wiz - it has been worth it.
I am full of cold again and feeling proper sorry for myself.
I thought all the super pastas were free but as I don't like them I can't be certain.
Off to have a hot bath and see if it eases my cold/cough.

    Morning all

Bit late this morning, DH went off early to play golf and I stayed in bed :D.

Well done just the two of us - that's a brilliant achievement and inspiration to us all. I recommend you continue attending class, it's the best way to maintain.

Well I've had some sort of allergic reaction tonight  thought it was just hives at first but then whole patches of my body and mouth have swollen, gone red and itch like mad! OH's reaction was properly .. It made me laugh. He wanted to take me to A&E but I've just took some anti-histamines which has stopped the itching thank god!!

Wonder if it's something i ate?

It does sound like it, have you had seafood? DH had a similar reaction to a crab sandwich once. Hope its better today.

That is the main focus for me to lose weight, how much more confident I know I'll feel about my appearance. It reminds me of a SW saying that used to be used quite frequently until it became non PC - nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Look at how much weight you've lost - you deserve to go mad and have a day off now and again. The trick is to make it occasional and not a way of life and it sounds like you'll be straight back on the rails.

Well done to ginzvt for SOTW and well done to everyone for such great results - 8 stone! We've made a whole person disappear between us. :D

    Have a good day.
